Well I was thinking about this for my army's background...
If the Daemonhunters (Puritan w/ Grey Knights) went to a planet to destroy a Chaotic Icon, and they found a Dark Eldar society guarding it against Chaos (like to prevent activation of it... the Dark Eldar were crash-landed a century ago and have formed their own society which is a great deal more peaceful and docile than their parent society), and found said DE pure and untainted, would they kill them anyway?
Like if the DE were defending it, and welcomed the Grey Knights in. They were found pure... would the Grey Knights kill them?
They'd kill anyone, regardless of race or "purity". Their main goal is to kill Daemons, but they're still servants of the Imperium and despise all other life. If they came across those DE over the course of their mission, they'd destroy them as well.
Grey Knights kill anything that they are told to kill. I read somewhere that they destoryed a whole chapter because a Inquisitor found that the chapter had a mutation that made their skin fire proof
I think I read on the GW UK site under Space marines damned chapter
Purge the daemon where ever it may be!
The flame falcons or something.. They weren't fire proof, they spontaniously combusted in battle (and became wreathed in an aura of flames.) That was considered an unacceptable mutation, so they killed most of them.. a few are thought to have survived.Originally posted by Supreme Grand Master Sky@Feb 6 2005, 20:24

I'm not quite sure how the Dark Eldar would be found pure and untainted. They're xenos, and, by their nature, unclean in the Emperor's sight. An attempt to welcome the grey knights would probably end up like this.
Dark Eldar: 'Welcome, fellow enemies of chaos.. We are the...'
Grey Knight: '..Look, a filthy Xenos! It must be corrupted by the evil artifact! Kill it!'
Dark Eldar wouldn't become "friendly" in any case. The only way they stop their souls getting sucked out by Slaanesh (no matter how far away from the Eye of Terror they are, all Eldar belong to Slaanesh after death) is by extracting the life force of other beings in as slow and tortuous a way as possible (not sure exactly how, it involves the Haemonculi and their weird boxes). So they wouldn't be friendly in any sense, for their own survival.
And, as has been said, no xenos are "pure" in the Imperium's sight. They're all a threat to humanity, even by their continued existence.
They were called the fire hawks but they might be differnet got lost in warp emperor lit black candel became legion of the damned. well thats one of those 2 chapters missing from database. I wonder who their primarch was?

What? No..neither the Flame Falcons nor the Fire Hawks are the two missing liegons. Why is it so hard for you people to beleive that GW never actualy made these liegons? The Fire Hawks are the Liegon of the Damned, the Flame Falcons are Excommunicae due to unacceptable mutation. Now it gets back on topic or it gets the hose again!
The Grey Knights may be there for the sake of destroying the atrefact, but they'd see killing the xenos as an added bonus. It's like opening a box of cereal and getting two prizes.
grey knights kill who ever and what ever they want. They could turn on ultra marines if wanted. They might not stand a chance but they could if they thought they were evil or somthing.
