Several years ago I read an amazing story and had saved it but since then I've lost it. I tried finding it but can't so I was wondering if anyone else knows of it.
The story was about ten pages long and was about a tech priest whos name was something like NT37. All of the previous clones had a penchant for going batsh*t crazy so they removed part of his brain. Unfortunately his hemispheres were reversed and the left him with emotional side while removing the part of the brain dealing with logic. He needed to take drugs in order to function. He had created a cyborg companion that he saw as perfect but he couldn't remember how he had created her.
Anyway they left for a station that was failing, when they got there he discovered that the human brain that was wired to run all of the systems had been bored for the last 2 thousand or so years and she was suicidal.
