Think about it. In Storm of Chaos Archaon invaded. In Armageddon Thraka invaded. In Eye of Terror Abbadon invaded. Why can't the Imperium (or the Eldar) actually launch a massive campaigna against someone? In know that the Imperiums resources are streched blah blah, and that the Imperium does somtimes invade, but it would be nice if one of the "good guys" did for once, that is being on the offence at least ofr a short while. If GW made it into a campign that would be so much more interesting rather than your standard invasion by the "bad guys". What do you think?
If you think about it the Imperium is in the process of constantly invading the Empires around it.The Imperium continues to grow and expand, and even though it's growth has slowed to a painful crawl,it continues to push into the terrtitory of other Species.Look at the Eastern Fringe. Both the Tau and Human Empires have pushed up into eachother and grinded to a halt asgainst the other's border. The Imperium eradicates a dozen alien races a day as it's colonists land on new planets and enslave them.
The Eldar can't invade much of anything. There's not many of them left, and the ones that are left aree relatively isolated.
Your right there edicus. But it would still be nice to have world wide campign with the good guys invading.
Well..maybe since the 13th Black Crusade has pushed into the Imperium we'll get to see the Imperium mass a campaign to push them back? That is if the 'nids don't eat Ultramar, the Dragon doesn't wake up and beat the hell outta Mars, and the Tau don't reclaim the Eastern Fringe.
Also True ediucs. Things certainly look bad for the Imperium! :o Oh well we'll beat them anyway! :shifty:
Well, I think the idea is that the Imperium has so much territory their resources are stretched protecting it so they don't really do conquests. What they do do, however, are 'cleansings', which I'd presume are invasions of planets which have already fallen to hostile forces, but they're still conquest-like.
If a planet was too hard, like Cadia was to Abbadon, then the Imperium would just Virus Bomb it! how fun a campaign would that be? its always more fun with the "good guys" on the ropes. Evil is boundless killing a bit is nothing to brag about.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
But...if the good guys did the invading, wouldn't that make them the bad guys?? :hmm:
Think for yourself. Question authority.
No, because we all know that the Imperium only attacks filthy aliens and rotten traitors.
