I am founding a Space Marine Army. I have certain ideas planned out so far. They are similar to a mix of Ultramarines and White Consouls on most part. Their beliefs have moved from Codex Astartes due to most of their refrences being destroyed, high ranked officials have moved through quickly due to carnage caused by constant tyranid invasions, and contact with the imperium has been lost. They live on a planet of rugged terrain, and have learnt to attack hard and fast, with minimum use of heavy vehicles (as they cannot menovour their terrrain.
- Be Swift As The Wind
- Blessed Be The Warriors
- Flesh Over Steel
- Die Standing
I am looking for an appropriate timeline to slot their founding in (and what founding was at the time (as in founding number ___) Another issue is where they would be located to suit my story and some ideas i have relying on the above description. And how could they be undetectable by the emporors pshycic light (they are believed to be exterminated)
You could make them from the 13th Founding (all records from that have been destroyed). But beyond that I can't help unless you get some more details flowing. I know nothing about SM traits, so can't help there.
If they're battling nids, what Hive Fleet? To date there've been Behemoth and Kraken on the Eastern Fringe, or you could be based around the galactic centre, to battle the bugs from Leviathan(although it would be difficult to explain the loss of communcation if you chose that fleet). Then you could start thinking about possible "lost" histories to expalin the traits they have.
the latest founding was the 26th I think, that is where mine were founded from. I like the traits you picked for your fluff. Develop it a little I don't see why they couldn't hide from the emperor because the LOTD does.
<(^^)> <(^^<) (>^^)> ^(^^)^ Dance Kirby! Dance!
The Legion of the Damned aren't a good example, much less a precedent. They're only able to hide because they've got a weird warp-disease which means that they can phase in and out at will. It's not exactly common.Originally Posted by Sanctus
