I was wondering, what would happen to a Chaos Marine, that "sees the light" and wants to become good again? I'm just playing with the idea at the moment.

    Get what I mean?

He would probably be blessed with the strength of the emperor and able to cast down the rest of his squad, crushing their distorted minds with the heel of his boot. He would, of course, not be welcomed back into the imperium. (assuming there'd be any way to escape chaos) But once he's seen the light, he'll be satisfied to die while taking many of the dilluded ones with him.

He definetly would not be let back in. Traitors are always traitors, and after all that meditation, to be a traitor you must really believe in Chaos.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.

The thing is that a chaos space marine may turn back to the light of the emperor, but to the followers of the emperor a traitor turning good is always a traitor.
Read the book "Eye of Terror" and you will understand.. in a way.
They may turn good, be taken in to questioning, their actions forgiven and then they recieve the emperors mercy.... a bullet to the head...

There is no enemy more dedly to the Imperium than the traitor. In his mercy the emperor may grant absolution but the traitor will never be wlcome in his light. The fait of the traitor turned good is one of fear and realisation of the sin they have commited.

The details of the apocalyptic battle between the idiot horus and the immortal emperor can be found in the ancient and rare "Realms of Chaos" book produced for what i think is 1st ed 40k and 3rd/2nd ed WFB (they combined the two in this book)

Bloody nice story, its the sort of fluff that GW doesnt even come close to telling us these days (u realize just how vague those goddamn WD articles are). Why the Emperor (including pictures of him and those hideous, early space marine armou variants <shivers>)and the details of his life and death are contained so comprehensively in a book called "Realms of Chaos" is typically enigmatic of GW.

Also details of the sensei, illuminati and a few others are given
