Well, we all know that the Tau have accepted numerous human worlds into their empire, but what would they do if they encountered an Ogryn world? And, considering the galaxy-spanning Ogryn reverance of the Emperor (odd considering they all evolved from the 40k equivalent of Australians), what would the Ogryns do?
"You're very interesting, and very perceptive. So interesting, and so perceptive, in fact, that we shall now fight with KNIVES!"
"I've been dead long before you were born, and I'll be dead long before you'll be dead!"
I take offence to that reference to Australians. Everyone knows that Australians have better lice than any Ogryn.
That's possible, but it would require for the Tau to breed Ogryns in captivity and indoctrinate them into the idea of the Greater Good. Once a young Ogryn has been indoctrinated, it's nigh upon impossible to move them from that believe, hence their incredible faith in the Emperor. The Tau would have to convince young Ogryns that the Greater Good is the only belief, and even then I wouldn't want to see what happens when the Taugryns see a real Commissar. Ogryns equate Commissars with the Emperor, remember.
Come on guys, keep the Australian jokes to a minimum, or I shall call on the combined might of the Anzac clan. ze_poodle is absolutely correct. The imperium does the same thing but they make them revere the emperor. The only problem with this is that ogryns are only found on a few planets, and they are all meant to be in imperial control. Still, I'm sure this can be worked around. Cheers,
I know nowt about ogryms apart from what they look like. From whats beens aid so far though you could easily make fluff for them explaining how the Tau got hold of them. The conversions would look great too!
They wouldn't be able to get to understand Tau weapons. It takes several years of training just to get Ogryns to fire a ripper gun properly.
but more importantly pusle rifles aren't ogryn proof for CCW! they don't like thin beating sticks.Originally Posted by Xerxes
Ah, that's a flaw I failed to see. The ripper was specialy created to be ogryn proof, that is indestructible to a mad ogryn used it as a club. Perhaps the tau have also developed such a weapon as they are technologicaly gifted.
Tau Ratling woudl be interesting, with Tau sniper rifles?
i think in the future they'll have Tarilian (?) Dog Soldiers added to the Tau Empire
Tau use a lot of mercenaries, so a ratling sniper squad is viable. As I understand, Ratlings are far more common that Ogryns and less fanatical in their loyalty to the Emperor.
i'd like to see a cybernatically-enhanced orgyn (orgyn permanently bound to a XV-8 suit or some kind of tau designed exoskeleton) using crisis suit weapons. hehehehe...
Is all good...
