“Dere it is, I see’s it! Its over dere, be’ind da uvver boyz…
Noggin was on lookout duty, once again in his rightful place on top of Grabnutz’ armour. Grabnutz grinned, but several Orks slapped themselves. They had been watching the other boyz, and their goal, for over half an hour now. The only thing Noggin had noticed was an alarming looking bird, and a gun caught on one of Grabnutz’ ornamental horns. He had yelled himself silly at this, bellowing “enemies in da area fight men, for the emporororor… He had picked up a lot of new phrases from his encounters with the Space Marines.
Grabnutz knew who the other boyz were, so he set himself some time to prepare a suitably grand entrance. The bands goal was to get to the old industrial city, which the ‘ummies used to call Delloran Prime; the Orks knew it as “‘Ello Rankime. They had no idea who Rankime was, but they assumed the city to be named after him. Some very old legends told of a dark tall figure, with death in his hands, and war in his heart, but that could have been said about most of the Orks infesting this planet. Its name was no longer important, but the city housed millions of old Imperial Manufactorums (long since abandoned) and the looting possibilities were endless. Grabnutz and his ladz had been coming here for years, but this was a rare occasion when some other boyz had got here first. No clan settled in the city, it stunk in their opinion, and the wild lands were far more to the liking of the Orks. The only living things now were the Hire-A-Mekz, who lent their services out to those who needed stuff fixin’.
Grabnutz was here this time to pick up parts for his new toy, lovingly altered and modified by SkrooLooze. It was the BigMeks pride and joy, which he “wun fair and skware off da ‘ummies The Black Templar crest was still visible on one side, and there was a large hole in the front. It needed new tracks, as the previous ones had been destroyed in a stikkbomb explosion. A salvaged Zzap Gun was strapped to the hull, and in place of the Hurricane Bolters, were a pair of brand new Rokkit Launchers. The hull itself had undergone a lot of modifications, but SkrooLooze needed more supplies to finish his work.
Grabnutz “entrance began in earnest. The boyz echoed a mighty WAAAGH and thundered down the gentle slope, loosing shots off into the air. They began chanting their “Song of Welcomin’
“WE IS BIGGA DAN YOUSE, YOU IS GONNA GET SMOOSHED, WE IS GONNA RIP YER ‘EAD OFF, COS WE IS GRABNUTZ KREW. ALL YOUSE IS STOPID UMMIES AND WES GONNA BLOW YOO UP GUD
The words were terrible, the rhyming was off, so it was a brilliant effort from the orks all taken into account.
The other boyz laughed hysterically at this song, and took up their own version with glee.
Grabnutz ran straight into the leader of the boyz, a figure much like himself in appearance and armament.
The two Warboss’s struggled on the floor, before rising to their feet.
“Grabnutz, ‘ow are ya?
“I’s brilliant Bugglugz, owz is you been’?
The two friends shook arms, and clashed heads in greeting. All along the lines, the Orks from the two klans were doing the same, even the grots, though less enthusiastically, most just nodded and slapped each others backs.
“We’s ad some fun down south Grabz, da Imperial boyz is back again, just like old times! Dere was loads of em in Ello Rankime!
“Dats noffin’, we had shiny marine boyz up north!
“Well, looks like a wars comin’ den!
“You fink so? Dat would be fun, I ope dey get ‘ere soon, we ‘aven’t had a fight fer ‘bout too weeks.
What do you see?
All is well my friend, the Orks are too many for the Humans to handle, and these two klans will stop fighting even themselves when they can taste human in the air.
We are still safe then?
Of that I am not certain, there is a strong presence in the warp, distinct and proud, but young, and he has the arrogance of his race. He comes with the marines; they are 3 weeks away from the planet.
What of the Orks, can they not sense its presence themselves, Danograsthia?
No. Even if they could, what could they achieve? They can not use it.
But if they were to betray its position to the one you speak of…
The one I speak of is a fool; he will be mislead easily in his greed, his thirst to prove his worth.
Is he of the evil ones? One from the Eye?
No, he serves his Emperor well. He will be taught his folly soon enough...
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it as always. Note how a plot is emerging!!! O0o!!
If you have any comments, feel free to post (like I can stop you...)
Also I would like suggestions of what you want to see more/less of in the next episodes, now that I have the whole story mapped out in my head.

You stop posting, I stop writing!
Its infuriating when nobody says anything, its like, you glanced at the thread, and thought, nah, can't be bothered to read it...
Even a critisism would be welcome.
Grabnutz died in my campaign
But he will be fully recovered after 2 games
Shame for those 2 game i can't have a Warboss, and I can no longer use the Mob Size check
At least SkrooLooze survived 3 rounds in combat with a Librarian, suffering no wounds (apart from the grots...)
And my new Russ survived, but did nothing other than stop an anihilator shooting, and killing 1 Termie.
I read through the story. But there was no reason to criticize. So what would you want me to say?
"Excellent use of the period at the end of your sentences"?
You're just very good at what you do, so there's no reason to post and make you change your style.
"They are my space marines and they shall know no fear, for they are fear incarnate." ~ Konrad Curze (Night Haunter), Primarch of the Night Lords Legion
"Adeo mori servus Imperator Fictus
Ave Dominus Nox" (So die the slaves of the False Emperor. Hail to the Lord of the Night.) ~ Talonmaster Zso Sahaal [Lord of the Night, p.68]
What I was really after was wether or not people wanted the actual content to change, rather than the style. I couldn't change the style of my writing if i had a... magic, style... re-styler... ...
Anywho, what i mean is, would people like to see more sort of character figures, like Frump, and SkrooLoozes grots, be given a bigger part, or even the inclusion of more Nobs. Perhaps some people want to see more of my version of Ork life, or maybe just plain fighting. Maybe more epic style duels (Grabnutz Vs Marshal Hallem) or more comedic bouts (Noggin Vs Dreadnought), or a mix of them all.
I'm hoping to send a sample of some kind to the Black Library, to see what they think, so I want it to please as many people as possible. (I know this isn't possible, especially people with an adversion to violence and swearing!)
Thanks for the replies, it really helps to know that it's appreciated.
man this fluff is sweet.these stories have convinced me to start orks.whens the next part?(soon i hope)
INNOCENCE IS NOT IMMUNITY
This sounds a lot like the Dawn of War storyline with more detail. If that's not what you were thinking, its really good.
We'll show these filthy aliens what Imperial Guard are made of!
(Damn, sussed me...)
I noticed that the plot I have in my head, is quite similar to DoW, but it is a coincidence, I assure you. My plot has no Chaos artifact in it, just an Eldar one... Plus the Orks don't leave mid way through.
The only reason for these particular armies, is that these are the armies of my freinds at my club, and we are doing a campaign, which I'm basing the stories around.
The next story is in about....
1/2 an hour...
