Yo, Im am looking for a good solid army for my IG. After playing a bit I decided to make my army more realistic thanks to a few good fluff forums. I did a little research and found an IG Chapter called the Attila.
I looked in an out of what I found but I could not find a commander for this chapter. If any one out there knows a little about the Attila or if you have alot of good fluff about another chapter plz help me out
Also if there is no commander for the Attila I was wondering if I could make up thier commander. EX: His name and backround.
The Imperial Guard is a huge machine. It is so large that the only people that know the individual soldier's names are the sergeants, and that's only to threaten them with gruesome death if they run.
even if you don't find the commander's name, you can make one up and claim your company to be a division under that commander. In fluff terms, a commander would only concern himself with where the entire battalion is and where they are going. The imperium isn't the most organised of governments.

If you cant find the commander you could also make up your own and say that he was incharge before the original commander.
(by the way, i am new to LO could someone tell me how to quote properly? )
"DICE FOR THE DICE GOD!"
And the almighty Dice God said to his followers "Thou shalt not speak ye words "anything but a one" For thou whoever'st speaketh this blasphemy will be cursed with thy rolls being of one".
I turst you mean an Imperial Guard Regiment raised on the planet of Atilla. "Chapters" belong to Space Marines...
Atilla is a feudal world. The people form nomadic horse tribes as there is a belt of rich savannah tousands of miles deep, criss-crossed with deep-blue rivers, snow-capped mountain ranges and vast inland lakes. The only city on the planet is Khanasan and is the original landing site of the human colonists. It is a now a bustling metropolis and serves as a gathering place for the tribes of Atilla. The bulk of the population live off their "ovigors", giant shaggy and savage animals native to the world.
Atilla has a quite a small population, and as such it is difficult to raise the huge infantry regiments like the ones from Cadia or Armageddon. The Imperial Guard therefore use the Atillian's natural skills as horse-riders to form Rough-Rider regiements, consisting almost entirely of men on horseback. These regiments are then split up and the detachments are sent to wherever they are needed, it's very rarely that an entire Atillian Rough-Rider regiment has to be deployed in one go.
The Atillian riders themselves are fearsome warriors, the faces are covered in ritual duelling scars, and when they defeat an important enemy in combat they cut of his head, and use his skull as a drinking vessel to commemorate their success! The Lord of Atilla has been known as the King of a Thousand Skulls! The most famous Atillian is Captain Mogul Kamir, however I don't have any fluff on him.
This is drawn from the 1995 Imperial Guard Codex, hope this helps in some way.
