I have a question:
I was thinking, in combat patrol (were it's a scout force) it dosn't make any sence that Imperial Guard need a junior officer for there Infantry Platoon. Is it just me or is that unnesessery?
BTW im playing a renegade army...

In which case use Lost and the Damned with lots of Traitors. The Imperial Guard has a rigid command structure, which they adhere to at all times, and so junior officers really should be included.
Indeed.. The Imperial Guard are usually divided into platoons with a rigid command structure.. this has it's benefits, but makes their organization pretty inflexible.
A traitor heavy lost and the damned army would be an interesting alternative, but you'd miss out on lots of things (true, you get the potential to eventually stick chaos marines into your force as compensation.. as well as hordes of gibbering mutants.)
Imperial Guard scout platoons, I'd imagine, would be pretty much exactly like normal platoons except with the light infantry, jungle fighters or swamp fighters doctrines. They'd still need an officer to coordinate things. Just model him as a hardened commando leader (hollywood provides countless examples!) rather than a stern, austere looking dude.
