Default Custom chapter Dragon Wing

hello, just bought the new 4th edition codex and thought why play raven gaurd when i can make my own force of space marines!!!

Legion: Dragon Wing
Primarch: Vulkan/Corax
Chapter Master: Karzil Morbid
World: No Record

Dragon Wing Chapter Traits:
FIERCE
Blessed be the warriors: A love for close courters and fast fighting most of the sighting of the Dragon Wing's show Many Land speeders, and many assault squads tho the names of which have been changed to better fit the chapter.
STERN
Cleanse and Purify: Pyrocy is a sacred art in the Dragon Wing, only the most skilled warriors are allowed melta guns, multi-melta, Flamers, Heavy flamers, and a helm known as the Dragon's Gaze witch has built in short range flame throwers used in close courter fighting.

Dragon Wing Chapter Draw Backs:

Flesh Over Steel: The Dragon Wing chapter dose not use many tanks if any at all, sighting mostly report of rhinos, and a few sighting have seen preditors and land raiders.
We Stand Alone: Isolists they are hardly ever seen fighting with other chapters or other races in the galexy, tho many accounts from saladmanders and raven gaurd have reported fighting along side them in battles.

Background:
Not much is known about the Dragon Wing Chapter, what little has been seen of them is they resemble raven gaurd in many aspects and salamanders in others, The battle i witnessed with them they jetted into range of there flamers and bolt pistols useing there jump packs this took little to no effort, and unleashed flames apon flames of fiery death apon a dark eldar force twice there size, then Readying weapons they call Dragon Fangs which came in many shapes and forms some were axes others took the form of lightning claws that glowed red, they slammed into the dark eldar with amazing power, they where victorious and as fast as they had appeared they were gone.

they seem to be highly devoted to flight as ive seen most if not all of there forces Equiped with jump packs, many have flamers as well perhaps the origin of there name? i for one am not completely sure as when seeing other space marines simply teleport and disapear this is perhaps a chapter that are isolationist, keeping their own secrets and resisting any external interface, thus why so little is known, i will keep my reports coming and try to find what has caused them to be untrusting of others that fight for the same cause, what dark secrets lie within there chapters foundings?

Umm... you're only allowed two traits maximum. Judging from the stuff you posted earlier (which you showed me before you deleted it), I'd suggest a Signifigant Divergance traits set. Based on what you've written, you might want to take "Take the fight to them" and "Cleanse and purify" advantages. The drawbacks I'll leave up to you, but "Flesh over steel" would seem to fit as a Major Drawback. Think a bit about your chapter's history before deciding on a Minor Drawback. Have they suffered massive casualties and are still in the process of rebuilding? Do they not trust psykers? Are they known to keep fighting, even if it might be logical to pull out? Consider questions similar to these when you select your Minor Drawback.

In what ways the Dragon Wings similar to the Raven Guard? I know we aren't frenzied berzerkers (ie, Blood Angels or Black Templar), so do they have a lot of Assaut Squads? Maybe they make extensive use of Scouts infiltrating behind enemy lines? In case you didn't notice, I am a huge fan of the sons of Corax.

Yeah, making your own chapter is nice. It's like making your own Chaos Legion. Anyways, with that many advantages, are they a just a notable divergence, or a big one, from the Index Astartes? An answer here would explain why so many advantages.

the way u said that made no sence to me what i got out of it is still twisting in my head but the codex says i can have 2 advantages from 2 traits at the cost of 1 major drawback and 1 minior they fight alone because they dont really trust any one though im planning on putting in ties with my friends custum chapter and the salamanders and raven gaurd, because as the report/fluff thing says they fight with a combined style of salamanders and raven gaurd

please restate your post O.o it really lost me lol

I think I see what KungFuSucka is trying to ask. Since the Dragon Wings have a Fierce trait and a Stern Trait, they are a Signifigant Divergance. Have a look at the table page 42 so I don't violate any copyright laws and get this place shut down. :p
