Default Tuuliki

Tuuliki

Tuuliki is the Fox god of Life, and in some of the older texts of the Rav'en Guden, has been thought to have helped her brother, Tuuoni, with the defence of the Helif Gate.

She is a fox of beauty and visual brilliance, and her fur is mostly a light shade of orange, bar her white furred chest and upper, front legs, and the parts of darker orange of her shoulders.

Sightings of Tuuliki are not as rare as those of her brother, but they rare enough.
It's said, that she is there when a new born infant is born, be it human or animal. It is said that she is there when grass grows, and water runs. She is life. She is the everywhere. The water, air and earth.

The few sightings that have been documented are interesting indeed. For example, she is most often sighted at the births of people who will eventually become the System's Governor or the births of those that will someday command an entire regiment of the Vulpmunden Imperial Guard.
However, her sightings don't just seem to be limited to people. She has been seen roaming places that have been torn by battle, or devastated by disaster, as she tends to the area, re building it and making it whole again.

Unlike her brother, Tuuliki has a much bigger following. Monks and Priests who follow Tuuliki wear green robes, along with her symbol of a fox, in front of a large Oak'en tree.

People likely to follow Tuuliki: Mothers, Doctors, Guard Medics, Farmers

Default Lemmin'Kaien

Lemmin'Kaien

Lemmin'Kaien, or often known as Lemmin, or Lemm, is the Fox god of trickery and jokes, and is said to be there at every fun occasion, when every joke is told, and when every practical trick is played.
He also has a day of his own, as well as the yearly Rav'en Day, known as Day of Vits'ern, or Lemmin's Day.
Like Rav'en Day, festivities and carnivals are held, and much Vulpmunden Ale is normally consumed. Though unlike Rav'en day, where the focus is the praise of all the gods and the mighty Emperor of mankind, Lemmin's Day is more focus of the playing and telling of tricks and jokes, and to generally remind people of the system, though they may sometimes face hardships, they should never be too down and out, and never give up on hope, as well, of course the gods and the Emperor.

Lemmin'Kaien is the smallest of all the Fox gods, in that he is half the size of a normal fox!
He looks the same as any other fox, bar his size, and for one other rather odd thing. The tips of his ears are not orange, black or brown, but white.
It's said in the old texts, that Lemmin was at first a normal fox, of normal colour and size, but that it was in fact Den Harr'Fauren that made him small and his ears white, to stop him from playing tricks on him!

Sightings of the actual Lemmin'Kaien are somewhat of a rarity, since he has a gift that no other fox god does, the gift to change shape, or so the texts say.
However, the reports of odd things happening, especially in the days running up to Lemmin's Day are sometimes off the scale. These things range from pictures falling off walls or tables, to whole rooms being torn to bits.
There have also been stories in the texts of bad people or people who commit various crimes, though in most cases crimes such as fraud or theft, who tend to meet there ends at the hands of a beautiful woman, who steals back the money, and kills the criminal in the most fantastic of ways.
The money or stolen items will always end up back with the victim.
Though there is no evidence of why this happens.
There have been no reports of anything like that happening in recent years, but that doesn't mean it has stopped.

Monks and priests who follow Lemmin'Kaien wear a dark yellow robe, with a symbol of a fox head, or fox with white ears.

People most likely to follow Lemmin'Kaien: Jokers, Entertainers

Default Fre'jr

Fre'jr

Fre'jr (Or Yngevi in some parts of the system.) is the Fox God of harvests and weather, and so it is said that praying to Fre'jr while planting crops, and through-out the farming season, he will grant you with good crops and keep them well.

Judging from drawings and pictures from the texts Fre'jr is show as just a normal fox, or a fox which green fur place of the normal orange, though there has never been any reports of the fox with such coloured fur.
However, it is said amongst farmers of the Agri worlds, that if a fox visits your farm, it is a sign that Fre'jr is helping care for the crops.

Monks and Priests who follow Fre'jr wear brown robes with a green circle surrounding a fox head as Fre'jrs symbol.
Though a lot of the time followers of Fre'jr are found wandering the worlds of the system, blessing the growth of the systems food source.

People likely to follow Fre'jr: Farmers, Wanderers, people who live in more rural areas.

I found a flaw there Toastee. The chapter uses Leman Russ' geneseed, Space Wolves geneseed, right? Well, because of the Canis Helix the High Lords refuse to use Leman Russ' geneseed to create new chapters. Another major reason is that the Space Wolves geneseed is very difficult to work with, and the debasement of their implantation practices due to their highly ritualized implantation procedures and their inclusion of tribal pain rituals that decrease the chances that the implants will be accepted. Only one other chapter, other than the Space Wolves themselves, was founded that used the Space Wolves geneseed, and that was the Wolf Brothers in the Second Founding. This chapter is no more and in fact didnt even survive to the 32nd milennium. The difficulty with the SW geneseed and their technological debasement led to SEVERE mutation within the chapter and it was disbanded. My take on it is that all the newly recruited marines went Wolfen. The mutations would have had to be severe indeed for them to be disbanded, as there are many successor chapters that show all kinds of mutations, such as the Flesh Eaters or the Black Dragons, that are allowed to exist.

There are plenty of Primarchs that you can chose from, or you can simply say that it is unknown to them which Primarch their geneseed stems from. The Blood Ravens were not told which Primarch their geneseed came from either. If youre looking for a more tribal or feral feel, remember that Jagati Kahn's geneseed is still used and lends itself well to a more feral organization.

One more option though. The Adeptus Mechanicus, in the past, has toyed around with mixing geneseed from two primarchs together. Normally this was in order to fill in the corrupted parts and re-stabilize geneseeds that were debased, such as the Raven Guard and Imperial Fists. Its a fairly risky process from what Ive heard about the techinique, as you either wind up with stable geneseed or one that will cause rampant mutation, or one that is just unusable. I think this is what was done with the Blood Ravens.

If you insist using Space Wolf geneseed, then maybe you should consider mixing it with a more stable geneseed to make it useable.

I was wondering when this would come up. lol
I mentioned more stable didn't I?

*Checks* Yes, I did =o.o=

And yes, I do insist in using it, and thats what the more stable part implies, I just haven't said which other chapter/primarch was the other half. Mainly because I haven't decided yet.

I was thinking the Ultramarines, mainly because the DV are a Codex chapter for the most part bar a few things.
Unless you can give me one or two other ideas? I'd be grateful for any ideas.

Though, note, I don't claim that the the SW gene was the only one that was used (I have known about the Wolf Brothers for a long time) ...its just the more visual...if you know what I mean.
I.E The canines etc.

So it would be easy for outsiders of the chapter to just assume such after putting one and one together to come up with three.

Default Fre'ja

Fre'ja

Fre'ja (known as Yangavi in some parts), is the fox god of love and relationships, and is the one that watches over all marriages, blessing those that are true to the emperor.
She is however, viewed by a lot, as a god of lesser importance, and therefore doesn't have a large following as most of the others do.
She is also known to be the sister of Fre'jr.

It is said that she looks much like a normal fox, but she is the only one that wears a wreath on her head.

Monks that follow Fre'ja normally wear white robes, with her symbol of a green coloured wreath that surrounds a fox head.

People likely to follow Fre'ja: Lovers, people wanting love, people getting married.

Default Chapter Masters: Past and present.

Chapter Masters: Past and present.

First Chapter Master.
Name:Balendin Janus.
Age at death: 383

Little is known about Balendin Janus before he became a Space Marine. The Imperial Angels were all originally recruited from a section of worlds where Imperial Gothic was the norm, and nothing else, though there were some worlds with had different cultures to that of the normal.
It was, however, plain that Janus came from a world where Imperial Gothic was the only culture, but which world is unknown.

During the training, and his initiation into the newly founded chapter, he showed signs of sheer bravery, courage, a head for tactics and great leadership.

Once it came time to appoint a Master of the Chapter, he was one of five other recruits, who would have to go through a series of tests, most which could prove to be fatal. Two of the five recruits died during the tests, but none the less it was Janus who came out of top, and was soon appointed the Chapter Master of the Imperial Angels.

He lead the Imperial Angels to whether they were requested, and did so well. Most within the chapter admired him, and would follow him into the Eye of Terror and back, but Janus had a habit of sometimes treating the Marines under this command harshly and unfairly, even more so if they had been recruited from worlds that had cultures different to that of Imperial Gothic.

Balendin Janus died in 714.M41 in battle against the Arch Enemy in the Battle of Sohrab II.

For information on the Battle of Sohrab II, view: Battle History – 700.M41/799.M41

Second Chapter Master.
Name: Matthias Reynard
Age: 668

Matthias Reynard was one of those that were recruited from a world where very little of the Imperial Gothic culture existed.

He began life as a Space Marine rather normally until he suddenly became the sergeant of his squad after it was almost wiped out while fighting against Orks.

It wasn't long before he found himself as a member of the first company, continuing to show great promise and potential, though it was to take almost 200 years for him to become the Captain of the chapters 3rd Company.

The company was elsewhere during the Battle of Sohrab II, but none the less the decision to make him the next Chapter Master of the Imperial Angels was almost unanimous amoung the other Captains, and others of high rank within the chapter.
Reynard is generally considered to be a better leader than Janus was. While Janus was admired amoung many of the battle brothers of the chapter, his sometimes harsh ways left a sour taste. Reynard treats all of the Marines under his command fairly, and equally

He would later be responsible for the changing of the chapters name in the years to come after finally finding a more permanent home in the Tremainus System.

I feel I may have skipped out on some details here and there, so any help to what I could add or make more detailed about the two Characters would be great.
Thanks.

The Domini Vulpes 3rd battle company are one of the chapters four companies that often take, at most, a regiment of the systems Imperial Guard with them on operational tours. In the 3rd's case it is the the Vulpmunden 9th "Fighting Foxes" that often go with them to fight along side each other against the Emperors enemies.
The relationship with the Vulpmunden 9th is a strong one indeed. Since a vast majority of the marines in the 3rd do not look down on the members of the regiment as lesser men, the bond between them both has only grown strong, allowing both forces to work together with impressive results.

The company is led by Brother Captain Lauinav Ravius who was recruited into the Domini Vulpes not long after the chapter settled into their new home on Vulpmund, after the previous captain died in battle with the Tyranid menace on Sen'd Lupe.
With the help of Brother Chaplain Greig Alvord, they have won many victories for the chapter in the Emperors name.

The name "The Determined" comes from the chapters founding when all the companies received their own nicknames from the Chapter Master of the time, Balendin Janus.
