okay i was dumb!!! i took up the challenge to build allll twenty of the primarchs and the emperor himself imthinking a round table or something but that is isnt important i need ideas tomake each model individual and being a blood angels player i can only really make sanguinus look cool but i need ideas posted for the rest
also anyone think that the missing two legions could
legio custodes the emperors persanol gaurd
and the grey knights who were lost from time in there own codex!
All the Primarchs were giants compared to the rest of the Space Marines (Magnus for example stood nearly twice as tall as a Terminator) so a good starting point make be to use Inquisitor models. Battle Brother Artemis has Deathwatch power armour so with some filing and green stuff you could convert the armour to represent each Legion. Witch Hunter Tyrus also has power armour but it's not in the style of a Space Marines and is more ornate but you could still use it.
If you're going to undertake this it would be a massive project, I would recommend you buy or at least borrow the Horus Heresy artbooks from the Black Library as one of them has drawings of Angron, Sanguinius, Dorn, Fulgrim, Russ, Magnus, Khan, and the Emperor. You'll have to use artistic lisence with Perturabo, Lorgar, Night Hauter and the remaining Primarchs. It might also be an idea to get your hands on the Index Astartes books as these have fluff for every Legion so it might give you some idea to the Primarchs physical apparence (Ferrus Manus has "iron hands" for example).
About the two "Expunged" legions. These aren't the Grey Knights or Adeptus Custodes. The Custodes are a completely seperate entity from the Space Marines. The Grey Knights were created in the Second Founding, I don't know if this was before/during the Great Crusade so they probably didn't even exist until after the Heresy.

Just leave two empty seats.. perhaps they're away on campaign.
The primachs were indeed very large, as was the Emperor himself. Magnus however was exceptionally large, because he was a mutant. That wasn't standard size even for a primach.
The horus heresy artbook would be a really good move.. you've taken on a very, very ambitious project, and you need all the help you can get. Basically, from the limited pictures I've seen.
Horus - Wore black terminator armour with his legion's eye symbol on the front (I believe he did so even before the heresy.) He was bald too.
The Emperor - Long black hair, very ornate golden armour, significantly taller than most people.
Sanguinius - You know.
Magnus - Huge, red skin, red hair, one eye in the middle of his head.
Russ - Big hair, wolf pelts.
Night haunter was tall, pale, hunched over, had long black hair and a slightly predatory appearance (sunken eyes, slightly receeded lips.) Basically, he was the gawth primach.
I've seen a pic of Mortarion, but I believe it was after the heresy. He carried a scythe, we know, and I believe he wore a death mask shaped like a skull. But anything else would be guessing.

Mortarion is one of the Primarchs drawn by Blanche in the Horus Heresy books but you pretty much nailed it on the head. From what you can see of his skin it seems to be scared and pale which would make sense what with Barbarus' atmosphere.Originally Posted by The_Giant_Mantis

How good are you with conversions? This is trully a huge project. I mean you could spend a year one just one primarch! Let alone 18 and the Emperor himself! Definatley buy/borrow the Horus Heresy books tho. Good luck... You'll need it...
Ferrus Manus had a bucketload of bionics and a pair of metal hands. Jaghatai Kahn shouldn't be too hard - think Genghis and give him power armour. Topknot, facial scars, tattooes, ekcetera. Corax was an albino - long white hair, red eyes, and a sort of creepy sneaky-spy look to him compared to the others. Mortarion before the Heresy was tall, pale and carried a scythe. After the Heresy he was a bulbous mass of plague-ridden ooze. Vulkan was black - that's still debatable - bald, and carried a big hammer.
Fulgrim wore pink armour and had a studded shoulder plate, and that's all I know about him.
lol, fair play, this is an Epic task u've set urself up for. I hope ur an Art Student or something lol
I've only ever seen one person try and make a main character and that was the emperor and heres his Awesome Total Conversation:
Which can be found at: Cool Mini or Not
Good Luck and may the Emperor go with u lol
"They are coming! I feel them scratching inside my mind, scratching, screaming, running, so many - so, so many voices. They're coming for us - flesh, body and soul!"
My god......thats sooo cool.
Dont forget Rogal Dorn and his power fist of pain
I would really like to see a Konrad Curze converstion......creepy skull faced dude with no friends.......
A Rhino? SLOTH!
Hmm.. if Fulgrims armour corresponded to that of his legion, it will have been purple, not pink, before the heresy.Originally Posted by ze_poodle

Purple, yeah. My mistake. I supposed you could use your imagination on that one.
Pink is a horrible colour for an Evil Legion of Doom anyway.
