So... its well established that the Tau are far from having a complete monopoly on Kroot mercenaries, and that entire armies of these extra-terrestrial soldiers of fortune wander the stars selling thier brute strength to the highest bidder, be they Imperial commander or Eldar farseer. But how exactly DO they travel the stars? Are there Kroot starfleets, or do they just highjack whatever spaceship the Tau left lying around, or even travel aboard space hulks like Orks and CSM?
"You're very interesting, and very perceptive. So interesting, and so perceptive, in fact, that we shall now fight with KNIVES!"
"I've been dead long before you were born, and I'll be dead long before you'll be dead!"
Check out the GW online store.. in the battlefleet gothic range you will find a model of a kroot warsphere.
I've never seen the model, but I'd imagine they're extremely large, and it looks like they'd be sphere shaped when moving, but fold out to reveal their weapon batteries during combat.
The warsphere is like a gigantic bubble made from fleshy bio-matter. It changes to reveal weapons and such when in combat. They carry entire Kroot armies.
so are there official rules for using kroot mercs in a non-Tau army? I want a squad in my renegade IG deathworld vets..
Yes check out the chapter approved. I think kroot can help give a much needed cc sqd to some armies. Kroot also obviously travel with who ever they're being employed by.Originally Posted by rune
