who are the old ones???simple enough.
You've posted this in the correct place.
The old ones are the oldest primogenitor race to the galaxy, spawning the major races in the galaxy (Orks, Eldar, Humanity) when the stars were young. Possessing the most powerful warp technology, they created the Webway and possessed the power to move stars. They were like galactic gardeners, and cultivated the advanced races as their work. However their mighty empire was destroyed in conflict with the C'tan and the Necrons. For the best source of information on the Old Ones, read the Necron Codex, it has much information on the conflict between the two.
yeah probably the best source for Old Ones fluff would be the necron codex right now... you can probably harvest some from the Eldar stuff but that tends to deal with trying to figure out which ones they are reffering to as it is their mythology. Also you can look at the older rogue trader fluff from critical hit, but that tends not to be as reliable as they tend tochange fluff from time to time, as at one point way back in 1st / second ed. it said the old ones were the same old ones from fantasy practicly and that fantasy took place in the 40k world.. but GW has moved sort of away from that so I wouldnt trust that as much. I do know that their main successors are the space slann, atleast they kept that coherint...
