why take away the illumanati and the emperor's birth stuff??? why? it practically gave a future to the whole damn universe of the emperors spirit continuing on.....damn them. Anyways i too dont believe that the necrons will win it seems that the GW fluff about the necrons in the past makes them seem incredibly powerfull yet at the present it makes them seem slightly more....vulnerable.

Well, that was the point. It gave an illusion of finality. GW don't want to end it. They want to keep on going for many, many years, and produce for them many more sacks of raw cash. They want the 40k universe to stagnate forever, instead of having a great revolution and being reincarnated as a completely different game. Think about it. What would 40k be like if the Star Child myth came true?

One simple thing in 140k...Tyranids. I think that once it has gotten to that year, the current galaxy will have been abandoned to the Tyranids. Oh yeah...and the Imperium will have been destroyed by the Tau...because the Tau are cool...

the star child myth in simple terms explains that along long time agoa lot of powerfull psykers foresaw all the chaos gods rising and gaining power so did a mass sacrifice of themself to create the spirit of the emperor which was later born into a child. And i dont believe that not erasing the starchild stuff would the end the 40k universe more posibilities would opeened up, lets just say off the top of my head the chaos gods felt the psychic energy that is the emperor be reborn into the material world and devised some plan to kill him for good, legions of daemons, traitors and chaos marines get a lot more agressive, a new waagh forms, tyranid hive fleet attacks increase, dark eldar take advantage of the situation and start to capture slaves, souls and hunt for the eldar, the eldar again attempt not to get themselves extinct, the rest of the necrons and c'tans awakened, hmmm be quite interested to see who would win a fight between a c'tan and the emperor. the list could keep going, im just saying that the star child and illuminati fluff would not have ended the 40k universe its perpetual.

my vision of 140,000 is the emperor is dead cyper killed him and his death killed the 4 chaos gods but the fifth survived (he was in previous editions) he absorbs the power of his deceased brethern and directs ths chaos marines into greater conquest all the while the star gods become more powerful and because humanity is in such dire straits they form the human eldar alignment by the way tau get there buts kicked by the nids and get asorbed (this is just shtuf pulled from my brain but it sounds cool and it paints a very dismal future.)

Please don't resurrect old threads without justifiable reason. Especially if you don't have anything particularly valuable or coherent to contribute. On that note, why are Tau like the colonial British? They don't have a monarchy. Nor do they wear pith helmets.
