i wanted to use world eaters but wanna use oblitorators and havocs but love zerkers so i just need a bit of help making some fluff so the oblitorators and havocs do seem so random i was thinking like they were all part of world eaters at some point but i cant think of why they left or now have oblitorators and havocs
or shold i just stutt the hell up??
Sounds like what you should really being doing is playing an Undivided army. Simply put, World Eaters aren't going to be Havocs, and most likely not Oblits either.
However, you can have havocs and oblits and berserkers in a legal chaos army, just don't call them the World Eaters (since that doesn't work out so well).
I mean, sure...maybe some world eaters got separated or lost and failed to go insane and devote themselves to the Blood God, but honestly, what are the odds that these outcasts would continue to identify themselves with the World Eaters for very long, especially seeing what the rest of them have become? Would the World Eaters accept a bunch of heavy weapon toters wearing their heraldry? I sort of doubt it.
Just play a nice diverse Undivided army with some havocs and oblits and some Berserkers as Elites choices, if those are the units you like
Okay.. Do you want to use the world eaters army list, but then add obliterators and havocs.. and then maybe let them use the mark of khorne. Because if so, that's totally illegal and only an idiot would let you do it. It negates the only disadvantage of playing a world eaters army.
Now, the other thing to do is to play an undivided army with a lot of berserkers and a khorne lord (so your berkserkers still count as troops.) Here are a few fluff ideas for that.
1) Play a black legion army with a lot of berserkers. The black legion are the most versatile chaos legion, and they have cults within them devoted to all the different chaos powers. Simly state that this company/warband has branched off into the worship of khorne, but it still has some holdovers from its undivided days. Okay, you don't get the world eaters colour scheme, but you get everything else.
As an alternative.. play a renegade space marine chapter who worship khorne, but who don't have the same all-encompassing pacts which the world eaters do. That way, you can pick your own colour scheme and really get stuck in to writing your own fluff.
2) Play a World Eaters army with allies from other legions. Chaos legions don't cooperate very often, but sometimes they do. It's perfectly fluff okay to have half your army painted as world eaters, and the other half as black legionairres, iron warriors, word bearers or whatever you want. The downside is your force won't look very unified.
3) Play a World Eaters army with the Obliterators and Havocs in it. This is the hardest one to work fluff around. In fact, it's pretty unfluffy, and a lot of people will look at your army and go 'what the hell.' The obliterators could be down to the mutating influence of the warp, perhaps, but the havocs would make no sense at all.

Well, the black legion scheme is black with gold trim, if you wanted to use that.Originally Posted by xechor
The other big 'established' undivided force are the red corsairs. Depending on whether they are the original astral claws remnants (who now wear red and black) or recruits from other chapters (who would be a whole mix of different loyalist chapters with defaced livery, especially red crosses over the Imperial symbols.)
Otherwise, if you're inventing your own heretic chapter, there really is no limits. Heretic chapters don't often change colour scheme. Hence the violators, who I believe worship slannesh, are still bright blue. Don't feel bound by khorne colours, though, if you like, it might lend a stronger visual feel if you stuck with bright, angry colours.
i was thinking of using the red and brass of world eaters but with black greaves from the knee pads
That would lean towards Black Legion, which is the "catch-all" legion. Making it quite a nice combo for you. Perhaps even less than that; berserkers are completley dedicated to Khorne, it is possible that they would have repainted their armour to show their new devotion, and are only in the current warband so they can get into a decent fight. Although I would shy away from making their armour carbon copies of World Eater heraldry, as they aren't World Eaters.
Yes, I'd be inclined to shy away from red and brass altogether, as those colours are more associated with the world eaters than actual khorne worship.
The black legion berserkers I've seen modelled had black armour and gold trim, they just used khorne berserker models. While there's nothing saying you have to do that, it seems to be the least controversial way.
Don't forget chapter colour schemes can be patterned like the minotaurs (This page shows their scheme Link ) .. I think one half red and the other black would look really good, especially with a nice bright colour like gold/brass on the trim.
