Just wondering, do Space Marine homeworlds (Macragge, Baal, Fenris, etc.) still recruit Imperial Guard? And if so, how do their training/deployment differ from other IG regiments?

Most worlds in the Imperium are obliged to provide troops for the Imperial Guard, but Space Marine homeworlds are the exception. Part of the reason is of course traditional, but most likely the real reason is that most Space Marine homeworlds simply aren’t populated by people fit for the Imperial Guard. Both Fenris and Baal are feral worlds inhabited by primitive people who know next to nothing about the Imperium, and training these savages would simply be too costly and time-consuming. Macragge, however, is an exception to the exception: because the Ultramarines rule their world so efficiently and are so prosperous, they have several hundred regiments of PDF standing ready to join the Imperial Guard when needed, which happens quite frequently. Often these regiments are fighting alongside the Ultramarines themselves in battle, which says a lot about their standard of training and combat efficiency.
So, as I said, most Space Marine homeworlds do not provide recruits for the Imperial Guard. Those that do, however, are bound to have their training and/or indoctrination influenced by the Marines that live on their world, either because the Marines have decided that it should be so, or because the troopers want to imitate the godlike Marines. I doubt the Marines themselves would have anything to do with the Guardsmen recruited from their world, though; that’s the Departmento Munitorum’s area of expertise.
