im starting up a lost and the dammed army based around cypher and the fallen
an army with a few chaos SM fallen, backed by the mutents and tIG but can anyone suggest colour schem for the traitor guard led by fallen dark angles (fluff based if possible)?
That's really a great idea, not unfamiliar to me
I used to make my LatD go with the Fallen Angels, but now I have them paired with Thousand Sons. That's but one of the nice things with LatD, you have even more diversity and options then you have in an "ordinary" CSM-army.
Any how I have painted my Traitors uniforms black as a base. Then some of them have long brown leather coats and some have...red stripes on their pants. (I know there would be an english word for this, I just don't know it.) I have converted them to appear like pirate/WWI-germans.
All the tanks are black, but heavily worn and in some manner mutated, some of them have bonewhite details that are soaring with bleeding wounds.
For mutants I, now, field converted orks wearing flayed humanhides.
The background is (loosly) the story of a radical inquisitor visiting the backwater mining prison planet where they appear to have dug to deep...(OK, I'm still working on it:rolleyes
Chack out the novel: Angels of Darkness by Gav Thorpe. The cultists on the side of the fallen angels wore mock armour/uniforms of the dark angels themselves. They had on the same robes and attempted to paint dark angel colors/symbols onto their lighter armour. Really pissed off the loyalists. I'd go with that.
FALLEN DARK ANGELS WEAR BLACK
sorry had to get that off my chest after seeing another Dark Angels green Cypher
in the Eye of Terror Cypher was a cult leader (odd that he doesn't talk much but i'm not feeling too nit picky at the moment) anyway why not give them no actual uniform and use a mix of Guardsmen and Empire Free Company?
I still hate Twiglets!
Interesting since every GW painted Cypher model I've ever seen wears a white robe over the black or green armour. Sorry not all fallen angels have changed the color of their armour. Many are not as organised as cypher and his folowers and wander around as rogues. Some, like in the above mentioned novel, still have their armour painted green. Same in another novel: Eye of Terror Basically paint them however you want. There is not "set" scheme.Originally Posted by Shadows Coil
I wouldn't use the word 'still' there myself. It implies they wore green to begin with, which, of course, they didn't at the time the fallen turned traitor.Originally Posted by numberofthebeastxxx
But I'll agree they might have changed/scavanged since then.
