I have heard a lot about a chaos god called Malal from people I know who have been in into 40k for longer than I have, but I cant seem to find anything about him in the newer fluff. Is he dead? Or have he gone the way of the Squats and the Zoats (who the hell were they by the way?)? Malal were supposed to be the god of bitterness and revenge, and were as far as I know the arch-enemy of Slaanesh. Its really sad that I cant find anything about him, as he would be the perfect chaos god for the eldar to turn to.
Well i heard he was written out of the fluff because the Workshop wern't sure who owned the rights to his name. So to answer your question he's dead killed by the most powerful force in Games Workshop...

zoats are what we now call termagaunts see tyranid genesis on GW site for a full explanation
And Malal search I had the link for awhile but deleted it. Search for Ulthanash on google and see all those characters like ulthanash and tak the new god of humanity and the avatar of slaaneesh if you find it Post the like its a cool site people will want to see. Unfortunatly its not official but still cool.

Actually zoats are gone, they explain that in the creature creation rules as they give an example on how to make them. They were exterminated in the same way that the squats were... As for malal, I do remember reading some stuff on him awhile back. I think he just got written out.
Malal was the chaos god of undivided, Shadows Coil is the blunt no-elaborate, direct way of explaining what happened to him/it. For Malal's final fluff, the chaos gods of the four aspects acted as one and destroyed Malal in order to keep his worshippers from never growing stronger than their own.
Malal did not go the way of the squats, becuase unlike him the squats still stand some chance of returning. (albiet its a snowballs chance in hell...)
