In the Chaos Space Marine codex it says for the Bloodthister, "Only the Primachs are truly equal to its power" or somthing like that. Well my Upgraded Grey Knight Grandmaster can kill it one on one kinda easy. So thes that mean my grand master is as strong as a Primach?

Nope, it just means that Greater Daemons on the wargaming battlefield aren't as powerful as they can be. They can grow to be the size of a planet.

the more powerful a Daemon the more powerful host body is needed. By host body read more powerful psyker. A robust physical body such as a Space Marine would be useful to daemons as well.

Thats why Horus was such a terrible force used by Chaos.
Whoso would be a man must be a non conformist
People should be taught what is, not what should be.

The whole bloodthirster being as tough as a primarch is a carry over from the last edition of 40K when a bloodthirster had most of his stats as 10s, and seeing as the highest you can get a stat is 10, then bloodthirsters were pretty tough. Now they are pretty weak but still kick arse
