i have heard that there was some one at games workshop named that, and that si where they got the name from. what doesn't make sense to me is why the imperial guard would name a tank after a primarch who's legion was not real big on armored combat. now if the tank had been named the khan or dorn, i could see that. but of all the loyal primarchs, russ would be the last one i would name a tank after. any "fluff" explanation? cause i am at a loss

All I know is that the tank was designed by Leman Russ. It is used by the Space Wolves more for tradition. During pre-heresy his non-augmented soldiers used it and the design ended up being manufactured for all the units. Anyone have any data to add? :a

Where do you ge that Leman Russ designed the tank? I think a more likely explanation would be that because it is a pretty dead hard tank, they named it after a pretty dead hard guy.

I don't think Russ designed it more like he found the stc so they named it after him

Stories (Ha! A paragraph or two for the most of them, unlike mine, Decievers and XV88's much longer epics!) are posted in The Notepad area of the Creative Corner.
