Do terminators teleport themselves around the field of battle? I know they can teleport in, butt Fluff-wise can they also teleport out? Say they needed an extraction after a mission accomplished or were simply pulling back? Putting together some fluff and was hoping someone could help me with that.
Teleportation's tricky. You could end up inside out or half in the Warp and half in the real world. It's not something you do on the fly; there's preparation involved.
So, in terms of teleporting in the middle of a battlefield with guns going off, no. If they had time, stable conditions and a teleport homer, they could presumably get beamed up to a ship in orbit, although there's nothing solid on that.

Nah, the don't risks are WAYYY to high, like ending up in a mountain, or as poodle stated, half in the warp.
They only teleport into battle when its neccessary, and its not as simple as flipping a switch, the Astartes wouldent risk an entire Terminator squad to a blind or hasty teleport.
Never think yourself ready for anything, for that is when the enemy ensnares you.
they don't teleport themselves Adeptus Mechanicus carry out the dangerous and rare ritual, with a teleport homer they can attempt to beam the terminators back
yes they can teleport out...have you never read stories about space hulk boarding actions?
for instance in the armaggeddon codex helbrecht and some marines plant a thermo charge in the hulk, then teleport out...if normal marines can teleport out of a battle then terminators most certainly can
perhaps not something they do every day, but they most certainly do it
Never judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes...by that time they'll be a mile away, and have no shoes

There is a piece of GW fluff in which a deathwatch kill team is able to teleport out mid-battle (in fact, just as they're about to be eaten by a broodlord) but who knows, they might have some ultra rare device which allows them to do such a thing. Even then, it seems to be quite unreliable.. The teleport takes an unspeicified time to activate, which is why the team almost gets munched.
Incidentally, the same fluff suggests that teleporting causes a glowing hemisphere of light to engulf the unit. Presumably they take everything in the general area, not just the marines and their armour (hey, at least this explains why an unhelmetted deathwatch librarian can do it without dying.)
As for regular terminators, it's possible they might be able to, but it's certainly not something you do at a moments notice on the fly. Teleportation is quite dangerous as it is, and like any form of warp travel, is not taken lightly.

As stated, teleportation in and out of battle is possible. But teleportation equipment is very rare. And is only used on occasions when it's absolutley necissary. The equipment is highly tempermental. Some equipment can only teleport troops in, as it's too risky to take them out. Systems that can do both are even more rare, but the Inquisition (Death Watch), various Adeptus Mechanicus factions, and various SM chapters have access to this rare technology.
At least in the old background Orks had fairly advanced (if tempermental) teleporter technology. What about other races can Tau for example teleport?
