Can someone please tell what happened during that time, I know about the astal claws and the lamenters that sided with them, and the minotaurs, but how did it start and end, did the astral claws give up on the emperor and turn renegade or something?
A brief bit on the end of the Badab War saw the Mantis Warriors, Lamenters, and Executioners chapters 'tricked' into fighting alongside the Astral Claws until they realized the truth of what they were doing. The three chapters stopped fighting, and were each given a 100 year pentient crusade to either be forgiven for their sins or be destroyed trying.
The Astral Claws themselves are now the Red Corsairs, the pirate chapter hiding in the Maelstrom.

what was the Fourth Quadrant Rebellion though?
The only oyher relavant bit of trivia I can think of is that originally the Astral Claws were set up as Space marine Chapter to guard against the unlikely event of a squat attack because they are positioned right next to the former squat homeworlds. This has beenpartially (or completly) written out og their history though.

It was not part of the original history, the original stuff never even refered to the astral claws, they were the Tiger claws at that point
Everything you have been told is a lie!
i suppose ti would be more like now that they were set up to guard the Maelstrom from which they now operate
It is.. There was a GW article on it recently.Originally Posted by deversnik
All in all, it was pretty bloody. Only about 200 Astral Claws survived. They just joined forces with the various scum and chaos worshipping pirates which already existed in the Maelstrom.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. iirc their chapter master had a ''fit of insanity'' and declared himself above imperial rule. Probably possessed by a daemon or some other chaotic influence knowing GW :tongue:Originally Posted by R.A.P.T.O.R
