I was bored, I am thinking about sending it into the Capter Aproved Guy that is in the White Dwarfs.

    Dal'yth Urban Fighter Cadres

The Dal'yth Urban Fighters are a fast response force that are based on Dal'yth. Almost never seen but on occasion when patrolling or when involved in conflict. They watch over the huge economic populace of water caste. They were the first to intercept the human invasion on their home planet and hold them till reinforcements arrived. A battle hardened unit where the blood of fallen fire warriors is not forgotten.
Many Battle suits make up the ranks of the urban fighter cadres. Stealth Suits probe and harass the enemy. The highly mobile Crisis Suits pounce on the unsuspecting enemy from there flying transports. Fire Warriors hide unknowingly around corners and in the faint light of the streets. Broadsides loom in the shadows of giant buildings waiting for the kill. All under the perfect planing of the Shas’O Dal’yth Kais Shi who’s knowledge is inspired by the wise Aun’el Ta’u Des’tal.
Their dark metallic armor is consumed by the darkness of the city making them shimmer in the faint light. Their distinctive markings are metallic armor with black helmets with a red stripe/s on the left-hand side to distinguish their unit. They have red sensors that give them a robotic feel when looking at them.

    Special Rules:

Urban Fighters: If the if any Urban Fighter unit is in urban terrain, then their saving throw for cover is increased by 1 (normally 5+ in cover is now 4+)

Fast Reaction: The Dal’yth Urban Fighter battle suits and tanks are a first response force that usually deploy from Manta Missile destroyers in low orbit which enables them to deploy in a moments notice. The Urban Fighters may start rolling their Deep Strike roles on turn 1. All Urban Fighter Vehicles may deep strike.

Manta Missile Destroyer Deployment: Due to the lack of transports on a Manta Missile Destroyer most of the Devilfish and Orca transports have to make multiple trips to deploy troops. If the Unit is, not mounted in a Devilfish, does not have a jetpack, and is not a Hammerhead they come onto the board turn 2 from your board edge.

Cool! I really like the idea. It makes sense and it also gives balanced advantages and disadvantages to keep things fair. I'd let you play it!

Thank you very much for your input. I made the special rules out of the elite unit listing in the 40k rule book. I really just modified the wording on the options i wanted them to have.

Sounds good. People should have to roll reserves though for units coming on in the 2nd turn. They may get held up you never know.

    I love it.

Playing Tau, and the fact that most of the battles I play are set in cities...

I'll be keeping an eye on Chapter Approved, and hoping they show up there - I'd love to use those rules.

That manta rule sounds cool. Gotta make up some fluff for my army soon. It gives the battles so much more character
