Just curious, did the Emperor eraticate all left handed people from his army or something... because there are no left hand bolter holders. Any fluff behind this or purely something GW never thought about.
he means the models. I decree that my sole purpose in life shall be to make a lefty marine army!!
You know, them being marines, and near superhuman, wouldn't they be ambidextrous?

According to the rules they give space marines in inquisitor they are ambidextrous.
"You challenge me knowing that I am Xiahou Dun!?"
Ah, so why don't they switch it up?
that would require another set of molds.....and while it would be possible with everything (hah!) being done in plastics now, southpaws would just look awkwardOriginally Posted by LictorInTheGrass

They are ambidextrous, but that would require more molds and a change in sprues to work with. So don't expect to see them.

I suppose they do it for uniformity. And so bolter firing drills don't get screwed up by one man having to shoot left.

To offer a fluffy reason to accompany the more practical problem of creating a left-handed Space Marine, one could also imagine that only right-handed recruits are selected to become Marines. This would make sense since being right- or left-handed has to do with brain hemisphere dominance. Right-handed people are left-hemisphere dominant, while left-handed people are right-hemisphere dominant. Hemisphere dominance also affects other brain centres than just those controlling the body’s motor skills, and has an impact on thinking patterns and dreams. Considering that hypnotherapy and sleep-teaching play a large part in the creation of a Space Marine, and that the Catalepsean Node and Sus-An Membrane are implanted directly into the brain, it might be that hemisphere dominance is an important concern in this regard and that only individuals with left-hemisphere dominance are able to have the proper effect of the training and implants.
This theory is a bit far out, since to my knowledge there’s nothing in the fluff indicating that Space Marines are all either right- or left-handed, nor that hemisphere dominance plays any part at all in their selection, but at least it offers a possible fluffy explanation for the lack of left-handed Marine figures.
