So i read Legion. Not one of the best novels in my opinon. I enjoyed it, but from Dan Abnett, i expected more. It gives a nice insight as to the real workings on the Alpha legion however, and a really amazing plot twist at the end. Also, there's a BIG AMAZING FLUFF PIECE located in the novel, altering our view on the alpha legion's primarch. However, that was also one the most disapointing factors, as i don't think Abnet does Alpharius justice with his paltry description. although....that may be the point... well regardless, it was a good read, and lots of cool action! 8/10

**WARNING _ SPOILER!!!!!** (Concerning Dan Abnett's "Legion") Yeah, wow.. I was a little dissapointed. I was expecting some good action with the Space Marines but saw more Imperial Army work. Not necesarily bad, but I wanted a bit more Astartes action. But on the flipside....lost primarch anyone? Perhaps one of the extra two has been found? And yes, major, awesome twist with the whole prophecy at the end. Talk about a tough decision. And it adds so much depth to the Alpha Legion - as they usually use the battle-cry "For the Emperor". For a time at least, they really meant it when everyone else thought they were mocking the loyalists. Wow.

So i read Dark Apostle, great read. Nice to have a book with a focus on chaos for a change. Still waiting for a ork book I tend to read books based on guardsman more then marines as if you've read one marine book you've read them all. Thats not entirely true as they all have a different setting and plot but most of the characters act the same. So i seem to remember their being a second book coming out following the events in Dark Apostle? Is this true?

Ahhh december Thats a long wait, well i still have death world to read after my current book but then I've read all the guard books that i know of. Theres a book coming out about a starship captain who gets double crossed or something and has to work his way back up while finding out what happened. I'll be looking for that soon!

On the topic of the horus heresy books, I'm currently reading through descent of angels, and enjoying it, but the real let-down for me so far was the flight of the eisenstien. The rest of the series I've read each book in 3 or 4 days, that one took me nearly 2 months..... It just seemed to drag to me. Really looking forward to mechanium... The cover art looks awesome, and it's one of the topics I know less about. Does anyone know if there will be a book concerning magnus and his thousand sons? Or will he just be mentioned as an off shoot as the books go on?

In battle for the abyss their is also a Thousand son sorcerer.

Ok cool, so they get there due. I don't collect these guys, I just thought the story sounds like one that should be told, and would make a good read.

A novel about the Thousand Sons would be great! I used to play them, but even so, I think you could make a great story out of that Heresy time period. That weren't actually traitors, how they must feel...I think it'd be a great pitch, and I'd buy it the day it came out.
