Nice start!
When you read the first part of the Ghosts, remember that the second book, Ghostmaker, is not a true book, rather a collection of short stories with a very over the top ending. Necropolis is one of my favourite BL books and my favourite Ghosts novel.

Enjoy!

So time finally broke me. I decided to get The Founding. It's very well-written I think, not bad for Abnett's first forays into the 40k universe and it was a good thing he decided to start with Guard. I particularly like his philosophy about killing off characters, though he does seem to do it a bit indiscriminately at times, especially in Brothers of the Snake, before we get the chance to really care about them.

In other news two new books from my to read list recently came out at the local GW: Dark Disciple, the sequel to the Word Bearers book Dark Apostle, and the long-awaited Mechanicum. Will have a review as soon as I'm done with them and believe me I can work pretty quickly when it comes to these things.

Well, I finished Caiaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium, And I really, really enjoyed it. It was lighter, funny, but still serious. As a first EVER book for 40k for me, I have to say I highly recommend it. Next up, after I finish Claws that Catch (John Ringo, Travis S. Taylor), and maybe a couple other books, is The Founding
