I read through a post further down of someone asking if marines can take off their armor, and do they eat/drink etc. The answer to both is yes. The post is locked so I was unable to reply there.
Since this is the fluff section and this article is a beautiful peace of fluff, I thought I'd link it. I didn't see anyone mention it in that other post, and hopefully I don't get dinged bringing the topic back up.
Please enjoy this article, I loved it when I read through it.
Shame and insults to members that would dinge you for bringing up a topic which you are unable to post in. After all it has been made clear on several occasions that you can give credit to an older topic which is either locked or has gone two months without a new post.
My only question is what does the article have to do with the topic title. Yes it goes through the stages of becoming a marine, including the putting in of the black carapace and how it aids in the use of power and dreadnought tactical armour. Other than that there are a few more questions than answers...

I guess my 'intent' was, that the armor plugs into the carapace which is how it plugs into the body and gets the readings, as well as interacts with the implants. Thus it comes off. Either way I thought it was a very cool fluff article.
Also there is a picture in the article with a marine putting on his armour. There are also pictures in other GW books with marines in the process of preparing for battle.
