2. He could have been a prince 13x over by now, according to the fluff. For his black crusades alone. Even more proof that he's accomplishing various goals with each crusade since the chaos gods are happy... But he refuses to become a prince until he has accomplished his goal of crushing the emperor and uniting the galaxy under chaos. Because, according to Abaddon, the only way the human race can survive is by throwing off the shackles of the false emperor and uniting under the glorious banner of chaos. That's the only way we can resist and triumph over the alien hordes like nids, necrons, eldar, orks, etc, once and for all. 3. Debatable, there is no fluff about him ever fighting Ahirman or Typhus, etc. I'm 99% sure he could beat other chaos heroes like Kharn or Lucius. I would say he's either on par with or better than the previous two. There are tons of chaos champions we don't even know about, but Abaddon is at, if not near, the top. 4. Ummmm... I'm inclined to say most likely. But please becareful here I DONT want this thread turning into a flaming war. I am simply answering a question, if people start to flame about various chapter masters and their battle prowess over abaddon I will shut this thread down. 5. Most know of him, and are wary of him. Only the most foolish of loyalists would ever underestimate Abaddon. But as Space Marines supposedly know no fear, I won't use that word. Quote:
Yes, technically you can do anything but please keep it within reason, for all our sakes. If their are glaring fluff errors in your fluff, either write another stor, or have a damn good explination. In fact, if your fluff takes too many liberties, I would go so far as to say to not use it at all. Just thought I'd add a little more harsh warning, LordLink .

1. No, Abaddon is in no way as powerful as any of the Daemon Primarchs. He is just the most powerful mortal Champion of Chaos and could probably best many Daemon Princes in combat (fluffwise), especially with the power of the Daemon Sword Drach'nyen behind him. His Daemonic Rune indicates that he has been marked for glory by the Dark Gods and he has certainly achieved "destiny" many times over and to do that, he certainly has to be powerful. Just not that powerful. 2. Abaddon attempts to use Chaos to fulfill his own ends. Much like Horus before him, he wanted to be independent of the influence of the Dark Gods and has thus far resisted becoming the pawn of any or all of them. He could be a Daemon Prince if he chose - the Dark Gods have probably offered it to him 13 times or more, but he has refused each time because his purpose is not yet complete. We can only speculate that once he has destroyed the Emperor and unified the galaxy under Chaos, Abaddon will finally accept the gift of Daemonhood and become one of the most powerful Daemon Princes (not counting the Primarchs, who are among the most powerful followers of the Dark Gods). 3. Fluffwise, most likely. Chaos is ruled by the strong, after all, and he is the most favoured champion of Chaos amongst mortals. If he can unite all of the Traitor Legions under one banner and command the respect of all of them, then I'd have to say he is quite powerful. I'd have to say the only two individuals who really stand a chance of beating him are Kharn and Lucius, who are very much his equal in martial prowess if not better. However, Lucius won't be coming back any time soon if he challenges Abaddon to a duel - he is more favoured in the eyes of Slaanesh than Lucius is.
