we all know red uns go fasta
But what do you think the orcs use to paint thier vehickles red? Blood? That probably wouldnt work cause blood darkens when it dries and im talking about bright cadmium red.
Either they steal it, or they use copious amounts of grot, snotling, runt, and captive slaves blood. That or a very bright shade of rust...
May your aim be true, and your targets plentiful.
I'm assuming something made from some sort of squig. They make everything else from them so why not?
Blood, lots of blood to show the power the boyz and why the other boyz are so weak.
I'll be damned before the soldiers of the Emperor are just left to rot!

If it doesn't work with the Emperor. Then it's been officially Karmooned!!!

traditionally red paint could be made from quite a few things, but one of the easiest to find was red clay. But for Orks, anything red and spreadable would probably work

hmm what about the white and black paint they use to checker everything?
I'd say they use Skull White primer, base the coat with Red Gore, add in a midlayer of Red Gore/Blood Red, and then highlight with Blood Red, using some watered down Chestnut Ink in the recesses for shading.Originally Posted by Sempervigilans
Nah, I don’t think they use blood either. Personally I find that blood is one of the most annoying artistic media to work with; it darkens in colour when it clots, which happens after only a few minutes, then it starts clumping together and flaking off, and if it gets wet it starts smelling… :shifty:
Stolen red paint makes sense to me, or else they make it either from iron-based minerals such as ochre or hematite, or else from squigs as suggested by Da Mighty Camel. Red paint being somewhat difficult to acquire or create (more difficult than capturing a human, anyway) also explains why the Orks haven’t painted absolutely everything they own red; if they could afford it, I imagine they’d even paint the grots to make them move faster!

There are 2 apparent options, red paint and blood. Your opening statement eliminates blood.
Where would the Orks get paint? ask Grephaun. She seems worryingly knowledgable about the uses of Blood/red paint.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
Red paint? We get it from da grots! I tell da grots to get some or dey get a beatin, an hour later dey turn up wiv it!
