now i think about it the Tau could be a creation of C'tan. i think the Deceiver or certainly the C'tan planted the pariah gene in humanity so perhaps its something similar.
i actually prefer them being some tripswitch foresight of the Old Ones but think i might be swayed.
Perhaps Farsight is the first stage of the C'tan converting the Tau into another army as they 'ripen'.
Or perhaps the Tau just evolved from cow-like beings, since they're basically sentient bovines.
Seriously, I'm sick of trying to draw a link between everything in the 40k universe and the C'tan/old ones/chaos gods. Next thing you know it will be: 'Oh, the demiurg are actually c'tan beings because they use AI.' 'No they're not! They're actually created by the old ones, which is why they're so mysterious!'
Since there's no fluff sources which suggest any such thing, can we just accept that the origins of the Tau are slightly mysterious?
I agree Mantis, it's getting boring hearing the same baseless claims over and over again
If the C'Tan had created the Tau, they would all have a negative presence in the warp, not NO presence; which is what the Tau have. The Pariah gene in humanity makes the person a psychic black hole; they are anti-warp.
Does this end the discussion one more time? I hope so.
