Is there any info around on how inquisitors get picked out from the normal people?
Where do they go for training?
What kind of training do they get?
Stuff like that, thanks
He's coming for you...
I don't think there's a set recruitment centre.. If an inquisitor likes you, you get inducted into the retinue. After serving a long time as an acolyte, you're promoted to inquisitor.
Some of them seem to come from the scholae progenium.. Which basically means they will have recieved training in various fields from birth or early childhood, to a similar standard as stormtroopers, commisars and the like.
Otherwise, I'm guessing the years of travelling with an inquisitor as his personal assistant and bulletshield quickly weed out the substandard and give an acolyte the skills he needs to survive in the Inquisition.
The Inquisition is a truly elite group. I doubt you get promoted to inquisitor unless the inquisitor you serve knows you're ready for it.
Thats pretty much how I see it, if you read the Eisenhorn book's it kinda says the same things if you read inbetween the lines.:shifty:Originally Posted by The_Giant_Mantis

FluffMaster on a mission to turn people to the Sisters of battle, yes folks it's all about SoB squads in Repressors with lots of flamer templates for the win.
Exactly. It's all up to the Inquisitor.
The way I see it is that if an Inquisitor stumbles on a promising individual during his travels, let's say an acomplished investigator who aides the Inquisitor in an assignement, the Inquisitor might take further intreset in him and give him the choice to join the Inquisitor in his holy mission. Remember, an Inquisitors will goes before anything.
Or maybe some Inquisitors keep an constant watch on diffrent planets, looking for individuals that might have the correct messures to become an Inquisitors aide or maybe a fully-fledged Inquisitor in the future.
I remember something about Inquisitor Tyrus's recruitment. He was a boy and the only survivor of a massacre by a warp entity. The inquisitor who banished the entity and saved Tyrus took him as a pupil. Eventually upon the inquisitors death Tyrus inherited his mentor's armour and became an inquisitor.
In the case of Tyrus it seems that it was expected for him to inherit the older inquisitors job. I would imagine many inquisitors are recruited this way, by taking on the tasks of a teacher. Inquisitors are also very set in thier ways and I imagine that they select people who are like them.
An impartial test to see if someone is inquisitor material is probably unheard of. An inquisitor would pick a person who thinks like themselves, unless of course they want a challenge.
