Just discovered this site ,working on a Dark Angels army .I want this chapter to be a later founding that is unaware of the fallen, but at a later date becomes aware of this secret.I am looking for ways to do this ,one that i have is that members of the deathwatch encounter a fallen and a member of the team is DA and turns to a fellow(same gene-seed) battle brother for help. After learning of the fallen they reorginze to allow the hunt to go easier.
Want to introduce 2 new companies "Iron Wing" an armoured strike company and the "Night Wing" a stealth based scout company with deep strike capacity.
Any help would be thankful
Then the interogator chaplain wakes up from his nightmare.Originally Posted by Underdark

I'm not a big DA fan so my knowledge is limited, but I always liked the idea of the fallen being a massive secret which even most dark angels are unaware of. They just know there's a group of 'special brothers' who get to go to the secret meetings and have all kinds of handshakes, and they're all desperately trying to outperform each other in the hope that they'll get invited to join.
Not sure how accurate that actually is.
One thing's for sure. Those Deathwatch that found that Fallen...they're toast. DA wouldn't let any of them survive to blab about anything they saw period.
Dark Angels know of the Fallen, it's just as they move up the ranks they learn more and more of the real goings on behind all this stuff. Yes GW left it vague on purpose, wrote a book from a Fallen's point of view, and has more than once told us "Whoops, that doesn't apply anymore, we're telling too much etc."
However...for your founding chapter, perhaps only your Inner circle knows anything about the Fallen, and questions raised by members of the Chapter are met with harsh repercussions. That way your Librarians and Chaplains could kinda be "spin doctors of propaganda" for your Chapter Master, who obviously would owe his knowledge to being a Dark Angel inner circle member himself before the split.
Your Night Wing could be trained especially to covertly, and quickly take out any "Fallen" without any of your rank and file knowing any better. They'd have to be members of the inner circle though. (Can you give assault marines infiltrate? Can't remember, if not just deep strike them or something every so often for fluffiness sake.)
Dunno, just throwing some ideas out there.
That Deathwatch unit would be so so toast. Had to say that again.
