i've been wonderring, do the people in the times of 40K still have an intrest in music. i mean does the emperor have a stereo embedded somewhere in his throne so he can rock out in his downtime. or do they still have musicians in that time? maybe marines get together for a jam session on the weekends. ponderable.
Imperial Guard buglers, maybe?
"It fits like clothes made out of wasps!"
unearthly screeching and yelling is not music... except maybe in the case of slipknot
just look at the Guant's Ghost novels the Tanith Pipes are there and they know what drums are. i'd think that they would have some stuff like Malus and the Ultras, or Ragnar and the Blood Claws.
image this: the valkiry flew down just over the tree line. a oldy rock music blast as the occuipte cheack their gear.
"sarge do we have to listen to this **** all the time?" asks a guardsmen
"It's your history private, take it in." Sarge says.
just then a las blast fries the Private's brain on the guy next to him.
Somebody's been playing Halo... <_<
Hey, it just popped into my mind so i wrote it. But don't you think there should be a 40K game that is like Halo. But back on topic there are defanatly musicians in the armies that are used to raise morale.
Really? I mean i know in regular old Warhammer you got guys with horns an' drums runnin' aroun' all over the place but th' only ones I've seen in 40k were the noise Marines..I mean i always play loud violent stuff when I'm playing or painting or somethin' but I've never actualy seen any figures with' instruments..it's a good idead though *twisted visions of my Blood Angels charging into battle with some psycho on top of the Rhino w/ electric guitar screeching*
Actually, they used to have musicians in at least the eldar army during a previous edition of 40k... If you go look in the archives in the store, and click eldar, there they are... I'd really like to know their stats... it'd be funny...
Ive seen an emperial guard bagpipes player model before! it wasn't a conversion either. I am thinking of getting that for my Sisters of battle Irish bregade!!! although I think that because of the deap religious nature of the empire, church and organ music must be very prominent. Im sure that great efforts are made to host consorts in the emperors name, and provide spiritual enlightenment to his hard working subjects.
