Chapter Name: The Shadow Guard.
Chapter Founding: ??, Was thinking 666M41. (If this is possible?)
Geneseed: Unknown, rumoured to be Raven Guard.
Chapter Symbol: Black Skull.
Chapter Colour Scheme: Black armour with white left arm and white eyes. (Death Watch style)
Chapter Master: Munro Bison.
Chapter Homeworld: None, the SG choose to operate from the "Bringer of Shadow" (can someone tranlate to Latin please?), a massive custombuilt Battle Barge. (Think Star Destroyer from Star Wars.) They believe it allows them to serve the Emperor better.
Chapter Organisation: Due to horrendous battle losses, the Chapter is structured in an unusual manner
1st Company- HQ and Terminator squads.
2nd Company- Veteran/Elite squads.
3rd Company- Tactical, Assault and Devastator squads.
4th Company- Tactical, Assault and Devastator squads.
5th Company- Tactical, Assault and Devastator squad.
6th Company- Scout squads.
Combat Doctrine: The Chapter specialise in guerilla warfare and stealth tactics. Preferring to hit weak spots, causing maximum damage with minimal casualties and taking out key players rather than full-on engagements. Their favoured method of deployment is air and orbital insertion, using drop pods, jump packs and Thunderhawks to get in and out quickly.
All opinions welcome and constructive critism requested.
At first glance your fluff seems fine to me. However, there is a small detail that jumps out at me, namely the following:When a new Chapter is created, it is done so by the Adeptus Mechanicus at the order of the High Lords of Terra, and to ensure that only pure geneseed is used for the new Marines the Tech-Priests are extremely meticulous in the information-gathering and record-keeping relating to the Foundings. I find it difficult to believe that a Chapter created in .M41 should be unaware of the source of their geneseed; if something extreme happens that destroys all Chapter records and effigies honouring their Primarch, and furthermore causes a Chapter-wide loss of memory on the specific subject of their geneseed, the Chapter can (and without doubt would) send an envoy to Mars to look up their origin in the data-libraries there.Originally Posted by trub
However, there are Chapters out there with an ‘unknown’ geneseed, namely those founded during the 13th or Dark Founding, so called because all records of the event were subsequently lost or destroyed under mysterious circumstances. The Founding occurred in an unknown year of .M31, and many of the Chapters created during the Founding are continuously searching for clues to their lost ancestry; among them are the Blood Raven Chapter from the Dawn of War game that you might be familiar with. It is rumoured that some of the geneseed used for the Dark Founding was in fact from the Traitor Primarchs, but no confirmation has been made of this (and you better not mention it while any member of a Dark Founding Chapter is within earshot! :ninja
However, no doubt it could also be rumoured about a Dark Founding Chapter that they be created from the geneseed of a loyalist Primarch; the whole point of the Founding is that no one knows, after all. So if you want an unknown geneseed, I’d go with the Dark Founding for extra fluffiness - also, it would be refreshingly uncommon to see a Dark Founding Chapter that is not rumoured to have Traitor geneseed.
Good job, else.

I'm looking for the Chapter to be a young one, so would i be best just saying that the Chapter was founded during the 26th founding?
Instead of saying the geneseed is of unknown origin, i'm going to have them using Raven Guard geneseed.
Cheers bud, creative writing's not my strong point, hence the reason i've not included a Chapter history.
Also, being a young Chapter, i've decided to replace the 2nd veteran company with another "normal" company.
