I need help with naming my army, Ive come up with two names, Firestorm or The Forgotten and my friend came up with Shining warroirs of Truth, i cant choose between these two. The Forgotten i have a bit of fluff built up with it and that way if i buy a painted tau vehicle or sqaud it doesnt matter because they will be all different( backup from other septs, they get pounded so they have to join forces).
Any help will be appreciated, Thanking you in advance, Chalky.
Just out of curiousity, whats next? Maybe you can make an issue about the fact that GW didn't define the action of 'rolling' a D6 to actually mean dropping it in such a manner as to produce a random result; thus making it perfectly acceptable to just put them down with the face up of your choice?
A while ago on LO I saw someones tau commander Mirrorglass and ever since then I've loved the name for tau. Mirror just works so well for their names.
Out of the names you supplied though I personally like the Firestorm. Maybe Flamewind? Flamewheel? Shining warriors of justice sounds like cheesy SMurfs and the forgotten just doesnt fit tau.
For tau fire related names are best due to the fire caste.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
Not Flamewind. Or anything with wind for that matter. It's to Eldar-ish (Swordwind etc.).Originally Posted by LordLink
But the others where quite nice.
Plus flamewind gives a scary mental image.. I can just picture drunken fire warriors trying to ignite certain gas emissions.
I think Shining Warriors of Truth is both too long and too cheesy. Admittedly, it might sound better in Tau, but then, who knows.
On the mirrors theme, I personally think Mirrorlance would be a great commander name.
'The Forgotten' idea sounds kind of interesting, but the idea of a folorn hope regiment (which is basically what I think you're describing) just isn't very Tau. Every Tau force is already expendable, you don't need special suicide units.
The Firestorm sept sounds quite good.. possibly a bit aggressive, but maybe they have reason to be. Perhaps they come from a world close to ork territory so they've got slightly more hardened and vicious than many Tau.
