What does the Kroot language sound like? What would their names be like? Can they speak english? And, do they have warp travel?
I'm planning on writing a story about some kroot so these answers would really help. Thanks.

"I read about something like this in a book." "Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't nothing?" "...Oh yeah."-Peter and Brian Griffin
Only answer I know is that they don't have warp travel because if they did then so would the Tau and the tau want to research the warp storm on Medusa V so they can get Warp travel. Therefore, no warp travel.
EDIT: I figured that because they trade heavily with the tau that they would share warp travel, sorry for my lack of knowledge

Ask me something about Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.
I have to be quick with this post as I'm just about to leave the house.
The kroot are an avian-descended species. As such their native language is a series of rasping, clicking and whilstling type noises (and I'm assuming loud squarking when they get angry). Upper members of the Kroot society are able to speak low gothic very well, possibly other languages. This assists them to no end in selling their warrior skills to the highest bidder.
I'll try and answer your question more completely when I get back tonight, if it hasn't already been answered
EDIT: A free half hour in my day, that was unexpected
Right, about Kroot Warp travel. Despite the fact that Kroot appear to be a simple species, living in tribes and so forth, they are capable of Warp travel. The Kroot Warsphere has a warp drive, which the Kroot use to migrate to different planets. The Kroot navigate in a different way to other species; they are only able to use the warp to travel to inhabitable worlds. They are unable of travelling anywhere else via the warp. It has been theorised that they are drawn to inhabited systems, possibly to the warp-resonance most species give off.
Hope this helps a little more,
I know that they immitate the sounds of other languages in the backs of their throats (their beaks don't appear to move when they speak, which is apparently quite eerie.) Kroot learn languages extremely fast, often within a matter of hours. They're a bit like parrots.
Names seem to be avian sounding and squawky.
I'm not sure kroot actually have warp travel. But they do build their own ships, which are actually very advanced and physically massive, without any aid from the Tau. It's hypothesised in the book Xenology that some orks crashed on Petch many years ago and got eaten, and that the kroot therefore gained some of the ork genetic knowledge which allowed them to build ships.
It's possible the kroot have warp travel and the Tau don't. Warspheres seem to be quite important to the kroot, I doubt they let even the Tau just wander around aboard them. Not to mention that even if the Tau did acquire a functional warp drive they likely wouldn't know what to do with it. The impression I get is that Tau barely believe the warp exists, and don't know anything about it at all.

I'm pretty sure that the Kroot can use Warp Travel. If you look at the Kroot Warsphere entry in the Tau fleets section of the BFG Armada rulebook (on the specialist games website) it should give a definitive answer in there.
Just to clarify - it is very much possible for the Kroot to have Warp travel and the Tau not know about it. The Kroot are more Mercenary than Tau-buddy, and have whole armies of mercenaries that the Tau (apparently) don't even know about... so it's quite likely that they would be able to hide things from the Tau.
