While flipping through the WD 189 I saw the iron hands squad box set! All that black *drool*. After about 2 seconds of thought this came to me. Why now? Why didn't they release them for the EOT seeing as Medusa the home world of the iron hands was under attack. The only thing that I could think of was that maybe they thought they would get people all fired up for the iron hands since not that many new players know who they are any way and then release them after they successfully defended their home planet?

Are you sure it was WD 189? That was many, many years ago.

it wudda been 289, and the reason is because many new players will paint iron hands because they are the easiest, and have some of the best fluff around......as for you post, why did they release a new chaos codex, or why did they redo ulthwe seer council models when you can use normal ones.......BECAUSE THEY CAN...they dont need any approval, they kno watever they make ppl will buy, thats it!

they were released because GW is making a baisc trooper box for all of the first founding legions to go with the Index Astartes.
btw the emperor is the omnissiah and the Dragon is not the machine god, he was just an imposter for a very small period of time.Wir Werden Vorherrschen!

The Emperor was only hailed as the Machine God at the Beginning of the Great Crusade. Most evidence points to there being no Machine God.
