Okay this is a very BASIC outline. I have several stories about the characters written but I wanted you guys to see the basic stuff first. One question about the hive fleets. I need a planet name that a splinter fleet attacked or is attacking.
The Crusade of the Emperor’s Storm had their first official action during the first Armageddon War. They were part of a small group of Black Templars that made planet fall and fought the forces of Chaos on Armageddon Prime. They made several attacks on the plains of Anthrand but soon found that the Chaos forces were to strong to be attacked directly. So Chaplin Ajax formulated a new battle strategy to deal with the threat.
The core idea behind this strategy was derived from White Scar battle plans that the chaplin had come across. The lighting attacks appeared to be the solution to the overwhelming forces that opposed them. Instead of driving in and shooting the crap out of everything and driving away, Ajax saw that it would be more effective if there were several assaults from different directions at once. So he reorganized the squads and placed all of the troops in either Rhinos and Razorbacks. This strategy proved itself in battle on the forty-first day they had been on the planet. In a hour battle the single company of Black Templars absolutely destroyed over two companies of Iron Warriors. The assaults came so quickly and from so many directions that the Iron Warriors couldn’t get their lines of fire set. Since then the Crusade of the Emperor’s Storm has split off from the other Templars after planet fall is made to practice their own kind of warfare. Since the first Armageddon war the only significant actions they have been involved in are the second and third Armageddon war. They did not see action in the Eye of Terror because they were busy fighting a splinter fleet near Ultramar.
Emperor’s Champion Edmund
Artificer armor, Terminator honors, Purity seals, Iron halo, Master-Crafted bolt pistol, the Black Sword.
Edmund was chosen as the Emperor’s Champion before the battle for the Hade’s hive on Armageddon. He has proven his courage time and time again. He made several suicidal attacks on the Orks as they attempted to take the hive. Commissar Yarrick himself noted his battle prowess and courage. His comrades have given him the nick name Crazy Ed, for his many headlong charges at the enemy. One that deserves note is the attack he made on a looted basilisk. Single handedly destroyed it and killed fourteen orks that were manning and protecting it. He took a direct hit from the basilisk’s main gun and went on unfazed. Although he has personally been investigated by the inquisition for being so mentally unstable and lacking in anything remotely resembling judgement that he would be an easy target for chaos infection, especially by Khorne. Marshal Marik’s personal opinion is that he doesn’t have the brains to become infected. Edmond only knows fighting and serving the Emperor. This is not to say that he is not happy. He considers his post as the Emperor’s Champion the greatest honor he could receive. He finds it very amusing that on one particular occasion after he had ripped his way through a large group of storm boyz while storming a ork “rok fortress a ork nob in mega armor actually turned and ran from him.
Power Sword, Master-Crafted bolt pistol, Artificer armor, Purity seals, Terminator honors.
Marik is a Marshal that is considered unorthodox. He is very defiant to the command of any kind. (Except to the Emperor himself.) He resents being put under any other Marshal that he considers inferior. He has been known to defy command during a battle and lead his contingent off on what he thinks is the best course of attack. His temperament matches the mind set of the Crusade excellently. Not to say that the Crusade is a rogue group of marines but it operates best on its own away from other Imperial forces. Other than that he is a very capable soldier and like any other Black Templar he is a trifle blunt and takes being shot at very personally. If the battle is on a open plain or a place where there is a lot of open ground he gives up his power sword and rides his bike into combat with his Power Fist.
Rosarius, Purity Seals, Power Sword, Artificer Armor, Thunder of the Emperor.
Thunder of the Emperor: A Crozius arcanum.
Chaplin Ajax has been this Crusades Chaplin for as long as any living space marine can remember. He is loved by all of the crusade and is somewhat of a rarity in the Templar world. He is very quite and calm. Gentle would describe him well. Not what you would normally think of when you think about space marines, especially the Black Templars. He is, however, the mightiest warrior of the Crusade. In battle none can match his fury. Wielding his power sword and Thunder of the Emperor he is a unstoppable force.
High Marshal Roderick
Purity Seals, Bolter w/bayonet, power sword, storm belt, Artificer armor, frag and krak grenades.
Bolter w/bayonet: counts as a bolter like normal but in close combat allows you to count the bolter as a extra Close Combat weapon.
Storm Belt: Acts as a iron halo.
High Marshal Roderick is the head of the Crusade of the Emperor’s storm. He is the model Black Templar. Everything that exemplifies the Templars can be seen in Roderick. He never backs down from a fight, never retreats, and most of all he never lets anyone challenge his honor. He used to be the Emperor’s champion but was given the honor of High Marshal after a storming of a ork space hulk when the former High Marshal was killed. Not only did Roderick avenge the High Marshal’s death by killing the ork warlord that killed the High Marshal, he also rampaged throughout the hulk for over twenty hours. When Chaplin Ajax was able to locate him they found him sitting down still holding the Black Sword but to tired to even stand. In truth Chaplin Ajax makes a lot of the tactical decisions but Roderick is never far from any of them.
I don't ever use Roderick in a game cause of the made up equipment but I like the model that I made for him.

Sounds good so far fellow Templar. Keep up the good work, and if you ever do decide to use the High Marshal, remember only one Iron Halo an army, and our beloved Champion always has it. But he is sooo worth it. :-D

He's coming for you...
I was looking in the GW Archive and noticed like 5 different models that had Bolter/Bayonets and they looked very strange to me.
I took two of the knifes that you get in the Basic Tac Squad box, cut off the handles and stuck them with the blade facing out on the top and bottom of the barrel on the bolter. I think it looks cool. O and I know about that Iron Halo thing but no High Marshal would go anywhere without an Invul save so I had to give him something, which is exaclty like I would never get to use him anyway.
