Can anyone please give me any info on the chapter called The Iron Hearts, I beleive thats their name, They are out of the book Into the Maelstorm, and I would like to find more info on them!
I think the only place these guys are mentioned is in the book Into the Maelstrom in the short story that bears the same name as the title of this thread. From what I recall a primarch is mentioned (Primarch Ruben, Rubinec or something similar?) which hints that the Iron Hearts are one of the First Founding Legions. This has not been backed up in any other work from GW to the best of my knowledge; they are keeping the two "unknown" legions the way they are now: unknown.
I doubt there has ever been any colour scheme released for the Iron Hearts. If there has I have never seen it.
Thats about all I know mate, hope it helps a little
This is what it says on wikipedia about halfway down the Space Marines articleThis isn't official though. As rp252 says, the GW position is that the unknown founhding legions remain unknown. One of the Unknown chapters is possibly the Iron Hearts chapter from the short story "Hell in a Bottle" in the book "Into the Maelstrom" published by The Black Library, A "Primarch Rubinek" is specifically named and the subsequent incursion by chaos forces of the Iron Hearts Stronghold my indicate that this is why the name was scrubbed from records. However this reality may be retcon to fit more inline with the mysterious feel of the 40k universe.
Just found this, only slightly different. This is the Iron Hearts entry from the list of space marine chapters articleIron Hearts
Briefly mentioned in the short story "Hell in a Bottle" by Simon Jowett published in a Book entitled "Into the Maelstrom". Their Primarch is mentioned as "Primarch Rubineck", possibly one of the unknown primarchs listed in the space marine codex. The removal of this chapters name may be resultant of of the content of the short story where at the end a chaos lord gains entrance to the fortress monastery via the body of a failed space marine.
