Blog Entries: 3 Rep Power: 49 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PART 1: THE BEGINNING. In the same way every family has that main relative they don't talk about, the Eldar Craftworlds that remained after the fall have Ejol-Nrobe. Before the Fall came, Ejol-nrobe was a wonderful, verdant planet of astounding beauty, the pride of the Eldar population. As such it was the stage of Slaanesh's most destructive influence at his Birth, to much dismay of Ejol-Nrobe's inhabitants. While the other Craftworlds found enough reprise in mourning the loss of the Crone worlds & their racial dignity, Ejol-Nrobe sought to remove the stigmata their racer suffered from themselves. The first action Ejol-Nrobe undertook when the Craftworlds fled the Eye of Terror was remove the stained remnants of their world from mind & space. They focussed all of the Bonesingers' minds onto the world itself and crushed it from the inside out with a writhing mass of Wraithbonethat tore it asunder. Then, satisfied that they would never have to face their past again, the Craftworld rejoined it's sisters in the open abyss of space. Ulthwé saw this action reverberate in the webway and condemned it immediately. Warning Ejol-Nrobe that this would only bring more actions of this sort about... and ultimately mean their deaths. Ejol-Nrobe was cut deep for being berated for destroying their own former homeland, and din't respond too well, furthering Ulthwé's response... "And it is yet to be seen if it is a bad thing, your death." While this was only meant to be an insult, it turned out to be a true question worth pondering. With the threat from Ulthwé and the other Craftworlds avoiding all contact with them, Ejol-Nrobe saw a very real danger in this and so set out to remove the threat of dying. They knew they couldn't stop the actual event, but they COULD stop the fear of it. So Ejol-Nrobe made a desperate plea to the various roving bands of the Harlequins that were coming out of the woodwork. A plea to remove the fear of death (and being summarily taken by Slaanesh) from them all, every single Eldar soul within Ejol-Nrobe undertook the ritual of the Harlequin. Then, with a new lease on life, the Craftworld dove back into the Eye of Terror and began a crusade against the ruinous forces of Chaos. They returned to the former region of their home and searched for the twisted mass of Wraithbone that was their crone world's gravestone, fighting ferociously against the legion hordes of Chaos that stood in their way. When they found the world, they disembarked most of their remaining warriors, depleted as they were, to the surface. Abound in between the cracks of bone were deposits of corrupted soil rich with the Spirit stones. They harvested these relics as they saw great use in them for making their weapons more powerful as their sister Craftworlds had done for so long... Now, Ejol-Nrobe was truly in its element. But, the way the Craftworld so coldly destroyed their own home world insulted it's spirit (what was left of it during the fall). and so the Spirit stones it yielded were cold to the touch, and frost gradually formed on the armour or weapons they were attached to. The warriors of Eol-Nrobe all saw this as a problem to be (as it was). So they ordered a mass soul supository to be aded to the infinity matrix of the Craftworld, then to imbue the souls of every warrior into it. Of course, this meant a mass suicide. After every warrior of the Craftworld died, the remaining Warlocks & Farseers added the spirits of worthy individuals into a massive number of specially designed Wraithlords that were tapped into the Craftworld's Infinity Matrix, and then they too self-sacrificed, embedding themselves into the martix & the Webway permeneantly. Eventually, the non-combatants of the Craftworlds died too... But their souls lingered on.

Blog Entries: 3 Rep Power: 49 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PART 2: ACTUAL COMBAT THE INFANTRY The Psykers of the Craftworld are controlling the massive reliquary, and the way their power is so intricately mixed with the webway & Matrix... They still witness the events of the real world and they send phantoms of the former warriors to fight. If a phantom dies, the spirit stone still lies in the Craftworld and so the pain of 'death' is only temporary. THE AVATAR OF KHAINE They performed the ritual of the Young King and anchored the Avatar into the matrix too... By using the frozen soul stones and killing off the Young king's spirit at the peak of the transformation and before the Avatar is fully active. Then taking the stone away and putting it into a Wraithbone casing that permeates the shell. This makes a dormant Young King that will conflare into a full Avatar at any time. It requires no further ritual, because the spirit stone contains a soul which has just been enriched by it. And using the Infinity Matrix the same way as to create the other warrior phantoms flares the spirit into being which ripples through the shell of the Avatar. There is a side-effect to this, however. And it is, whenever the Avatar is summoned it is made of ice, not fire. Being an avatar of Kaela Mensha Khaine, he still has a heart of magma, but it's trapped inside a frozen husk of Ejol-Nrobe's spirit. VEHICLES The vehicles favoured by Ejol-nrobe are very few. They prefer to use infantry and the Avatar followed by a host of Wraithlords. The shells on the Craftworld are all attuned mystically to the Infinity Matrix & the huge reliquary of the Craftworld, and so can be manifested as a similar phantom by the Farseers & Warlocks. LEADERS The Psychic influence of Ejol-Nrobe is entirely home-based. All Farseers, Warlocks, & other members of Ejol-Nrobe with any psychic potency stay in the matrix and use their power to channel the soul-energy of the others into the material world. Much like a daemonic summoning, but using the Webway, so the system is MUCH more stable. STYLE Ejol-Nrobe, living in the Webway of it's own Craftworld, have had much contact with the Warp Spiders. So a great deal of the Warrior souls have grown accustomed to them and take on the Aspect. In battle, the Warp Spiders pf Ejol-Nrobe are it's most uniform component. Other than that, they favour using the skilled sniping skills of Rangers and make a genral use of pinning fire followed by Spiders & other fast-moving units to ravage the enemy from afar. If the Avatar is summoned, he often goes behind a phantom Wraithlord and used it as a faithful bodyguard. OTHER THINGS OF NOTE The phantom fighters of Ejol-Nrobe's forgotten warhost are silent as the grave. No sound ever leaves their forms in any form. The battle formations are just so well-communed, so in-depth, so... UNDERSTOOD. This is because the warrior souls are all still in the webway at the same time as their phantoms fight. This is where they 'talk'. Even the Howling Banshees utter no sounds from their masks. In fact, the opposite is true. As the Banshees release their 'scream', the utter silence is deafening. All other sound is struck dumb and a wave of silence ripples through the battlefield. Those unlucky enough to be struck by this blow just prior to being charged by the Banshees are disconcerted for a long time. When sound returns to the area (assuming the targets are still alive) the usual sounds are confused cries of scared beings trying to gain the attention of their comrades. Since the phantom warriors are an extension of the soul stored in the Spirit Stones of the Craftworld, the energies within the stones themselves are at work on the battlefield, too. Any cround covered and gained by Ejol-Nrobe is frozen with a layer of hoarfrost. The battlefield slowly gets colder, and eventually, the rest of the world does too. MOTIVE Ejol-Nrobe no longer fear for their own lives. But they never once renounced the Eldar blood they once had running through their veins. They fight for much the same reasons as the Harlequins... But also for a fierce determination to gain recognition by their sister Craftworlds, to reclaim the honourable name of their own Craftworld. If this involves fighting them directly, then so be it.

If there is no body living on the craftworld how are they able to "project" their phantoms into the materium from the warp/webway? And if the phantoms are just shadows from the eldar souls trapped in the craftworld infinity matrix how are they even able to touch living things in the materium? Am i understanding what ur saying right? It sound like a great/unique idea, just a little confusing.

Yeah, they're incorporeal. But the souls of each Eldar within the Craftworld is still in the place due to the massive reliquary within itself. All of those Soul stones connected to the Matrix & Webway... The ppsykers are in the craftworld itself & are (when put together) able tocontrol it like when they were alive... Sort of like controlling the Wraithguard & Wraithlords. They project an sort of 'echo' of themselves. This is akin to daemonic summoning, but it's much more stable due to being in the Webway instead of the Warp. And when the 'echo' dies, it dissapates into nothing & returns to the Craftworld because of the Spirit stone already embedded within... I'm not exactly sure how Eldar stuff works yet, but I'm trying...

I think i understand. But still how could these 'echos' able to make any kind of physical contact. Do u see what im saying? I mean a gost cant touch something and make an impact. It would just flow right through it. It would on the other hand possible be able to make contact with the other living beings life essance, or even its "soul". I could see them like possesing thier former armor like the pheonix lords, or exarches. Or even better like the tazzeech space marines possed armor. Something like that?

Yeah. I forgot the name for it before... They come into being like the use of the Rubric. Just like Tzeench's chosen ones. It's magic, after all.
