Hey guys, i've been working on a DIY chapter on and off for a while now and i've hit a bit of a problem. I was doing a Raven Guard successor chapter, but i've decided i like the Baal Predator and Furioso Dreadnought models that much that i have to have them!
SO, i'm wondering how i can have these models in a Raven Guard successor chapter, OR how i can have a Blood Angels successor chapter that doesn't suffer from the Black Rage??
All opinions and ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, trub.
There is no real way to circumvent the Black Rage in BA successors; the Lamenters are rumoured to have done it, but they're cursed with some kind of psychic bad luck/doom that radiates from them on an almost palpable level. They're not exactly a successful chapter.
You could claim Raven Guard descent and not combat doctrine; new chapters have the physical features of their founding chapter, but their modus operandi is usually determined by what chapter was used to train them up. They would have the usual physical associations with Raven Guard (the black hair, pale skin, black eyes etc) without having the combat doctrine if they used their seed but weren't trained by them.
Cheers bud, much appreciated. Looks like i'll be doing without- or at least until i get a Blood Angel ally force.
