Is it possible for an eldar to be souless? Like the pariah or the culexus assasins? i think thats how u spell them.

From my understanding all Harlequins don't have spirit stones because they do not fear Slaanesh and therefore, do not need to protect their souls from him(Or her.).

But Eldar are not soulless. If Eldar were soulless, they wouldn't be able to survive as they are so dependant on their psychic abilities that stem from a soul. So, therefore, all Eldar have souls.

If it doesn't make sense, tell me. I can be confusing at times.
Ask me something about Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.

Wasn't there something in the Imperial Fist trilogy of books, I think the last one about all Eldar being afraid of their Craftworld's Death Jester cos of his lack of soul? It's been years since read it, so as said before, probably totally wrong!!

EDIT:- Not death jesters, solitares!! Taken from HARLEQUIN RULES

Solitaires are immune to all forms of terror as they have no mortal soul to frighten. They are also immune to certain psychic effects as listed on the Ranged Weapons Table."

Agreed. Solitaires are soulless, but not Death Jesters.

If you mean being a psychic null though.. then no.

Eldar psychic abilities are an inclusive part of their being. All eldar are born with them. Also, eldar do not mutate or change in the same way humans do, so specific strains and subspecies do not arise in them. Their genetic structure is stable and static, making evolution and tampering impossible.

Even if such a thing could exist, in a race as psychically sensitive, it would be quickly recognised and euthanized. The eldar attitude towards pariahs seems to be one of utter horror and disgust.

Yes, hence their revulsion and utter reverance of Solitares. They have to endure a life, where if anyone talks to, touches, or is talked to by them, must be kill. They have already martyred themselves, they have no soulstone, and when they die, they are consumed by slaanesh.

They take the part of 'the great enemy' aka slaanesh in their famous plays.

They endure a life of torment, ended by an eternity of pain.

Life for them just sucks the big one...

    Technically, they are souless...game-mechanics-wise...

This is probably due to such a thing being Antithema to them, a bit like death terrifies most people.

Also I note the fine wording on the Solitares Soulless rule: No mortal Soul...
Does this mean it's soul is immortal?

Mayhaps because they have to endure eternal suffering at the hands (grasping organs?) of Slaanesh. They might have an immortal soul, idk.

I thought that once solitares died his soul was contested over by the laughing god and she who thirsts? The reason i asked was because if there was a souless eldar he would have nothing to fear from slaanesh making him very very special.
