I have a quick question about some fluff I was going to do about my commander...
Is it possible to be partially tainted by chaos? like to be almost possessed but somehow breaking this process off so that the individual in question would still be essentially good, but have daemonicpowers?
As far as the Imperium finding out, mu chapter would probably hide the commander like their own "hunchback of notre dame". It would lead to some cool conversions/painting as well as army fluff.
I know this is going to get attacked, but lets take mercy on the person who is not fluent in chaos rituals.
Well, there was a chapter made by the Inquisition in secret that had marines possessed by daemons then cleansed during the possession. This allowed them to be extremely capable at defeating daemons. The full chapter was then dropped onto a daemon world where it showed significant results. You could have your commander somehow be linked to that. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
Ask me something about Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.
Why don't you just say that your commander has not yet fallen from grace but the Inquisition has been taking more of a interest in him because of his chapters actions like killing off too much of a planets population during a liberation or something like that.
"Hey sarge, this lasgun is heavy. I wish we had something lighter."
