Since I posted some pics of my army I decided I also wanted to explain them a bit. So here is my little story about my Chaos and LatD armies and how they became the monsters that they did.
The planet of Scarolis is a small little world near the eEye of Terror. It was a small isolated agriworld where the worst thing that ever happened before 998M41 was a little poaching and tax evading. That changed one starry summer night when a meteor shower hit the the planet. A small group of splinter ships from Hive Fleet Kraken had burst through the atmosphere and started to set up a base to expand out of.
The small PDF was overwhelmed in the first months of battle with the quickly expanding hive. Soon the planet was nearly consumed. Distress calls went out left and right as the people began to lose their faith in the emperor, having not lifted his eternal hand to crush the bugs that now infested over a quarter of the population. Slowly the seeds of chaos always present in the wash from the eye started to sprout around them.
The planet had been warring with the nids for nearly a year when it looked like help finally arrived. Marines of the ork hunting chapter Swamp Sloggers, heard the beacon while chasing after an Ork Space Hulk. The men of 4th Company took to their drop pods and Thunderhawks and quickly hit atmosphere. What they found was a nearly consumed planet with little left in the way of defences and resistance.
They met up with the few remaining imperials outside of the capital city spaceport. Mutation had started to grow among them, an odd mix of tyranid perversions from the nids growing in their bodies, mixed with the chaos empathy that tortured their souls but allowed vengeance. the hundred strong Space Marines where completely decimated by the sight, knowing they had arrived too late to save the people. As they soon learned their ships engines were clogged by the spore thick air and they were stranded, they quickly fell to the lure of living through chaos over dying to infestation.
The warp consumed the planet, decimating the tyranid hive and allowing the people of Scarolis and the Marines to survive, but fed their hatred for the tyranids, and the emperor who had betrayed them and allowed the entire planet to die.
The avenegers of Scarolis appear near the eye of terror, both to hunt down any remnants from hive fleets breaking through and to lay waste to planets controlled by the imperium, trying desperately to bring others from their short sighted vision of an emperor who protects the weak. (sorry if it is a bit winded, I never said I was a good writer, just that I had fluff for my army)
This is actualy more origional than most chaos fluff. Could you give me a link to your pictures?

for those that don't pay attention to the conversion thread I added my 2 units of raptors from my CSM half of the army :)
It's a nice idea, although I would pitch it near the Maelstrom rather than the EoT; it's less of a stretch for the nids to get there, and they could even be a remnant of Hive Fleet Leviathan, which was closer to the Maelstrom and EoT than Kraken.
thanks for the input Xerxes, when I was writing this I couldn't figure out where the mael was, but the eye shows up on almost every map. It was easy to figure that area out, but yeah I knew I was stretching it there with the hives getting that far in
