The Macidonian Corp. of the Elite

My army fluff is the Imperial Guard Macidonian Corp. of the Elite. They are like the red

headed step child of the imperium: they recive the cadian's hand me downs used Las guns,

used sentanels with out armour, broken vox carsters, you name it we the bad end of the

deal. Thought they make up for these short comings with camoline, chem inhalers, and

extreme accuracy. Also having a techpriest or two around too repair the armour helps alot.

Due to a lack of troops a platoon of armagedon soldiers and equipment was sent to the

Corp. to provide support against the forces of chaos, tau, and tyranid that assult the planet.

The Corp. is not from the outskirt desert planet it protects, but are like the savlar and last

chancers in that they are outcasts however have commited no crimes.

Well actually regiments of the Imperial Guard recieve very little intial support from the Imperium upon founding, from what I recall. Planets are responsible for the initial equipping and supply (and back in RT days, all supply thereafter). Perhaps it's just a very very run down planet, or one just starting off. Hence the crappy equipment?

It's just a slighty important outpost planet, covered in desert, and of slight stratigec importance for a imperium enemy to mount an attack on armageddon.
So theirs no factories or manufacutring and their stuck with what they got!

Well for one, what reason would the Imperium decide not to improve upon the planet? I can see it being a planet in a system near Armageddon, but why would it be strategic if the Imperium itself disregards its importance. Just more food for thought.

The defenders are very good at what they do with what they have.

Also only small forces realy attack the planet because no one likes it (i.e. lack of minerals, lack of good good weather, and a lack of civilization).
