I'm working on a unforgiven chapter. Not much of the fluff is available in english yet, but i've put what i've got here:
and i'm constantly updating it.
What i really need is some input, because it's a huge work, and i need to see if people actually like it or not
I'm also terrible with names, i need a name for the chapter, for characters and for a planet too. If you have any ideas, please don't keep them back
Origin: Without much spoilers, they are from a planet which was in a medieval stage of civilization, until it is liberated by the dark angels. An order of knights which stood against chaos is perfectly suited for becoming space marines, a DA successor chapter is formed. Traditions:Centuries after the liberation, it is still so, that every noble family gives it's first born son to the chapter, which has it's base on the planet. Glory for the marine is glory for the whole family. Appearance: Every marine of this chapter wears robes, with the family colours and coat of arms on it.

Hrm..well, I can help you with names.
Most of the names for the Dark Angels are of biblical origin, so if you google "Biblical names" you should get some sites that have litteraly hundreds of names to choose from.
Planet. Make it up. There are so many that it doesn't matter if it's been mentioned before.
Thank you. The chief librarian is already named isaiah, but i can't really find fitting names for the others, that are not already used.
And how do you like the other things?
Good, the story isn't bad, but the thing that was tough was the switching back and forth between English and the other language (dutch?)
Good so far nonetheless.
Easton's Bible Dictionary
Hitchcock's Bible Dictionary
I'm building up some Unofficial Fluff for the Three known Unforgiven Successors as well.
As for appearances, I would put the crests on the Right Shoulder Plate in place of the Squad Symbols. If they have capes or tabards then I can see putting simplified coats of arms on them. Robes should be a uniform color. My Opinion
I think crests on shoulder pads would look good, but i would like to have the robes in family colours by all means. They would look really good together imho.
I've started reading your work, and i like it. I envy english people so badly for being able to write in english so effortlessly.. It will take ages for me to complete something that long.

Well if your doing an unforgivin chapter than you should probably have some tie in with the DA. Just some quick names Angels of Remorse something with Angels would work or you could tie the names in with the primarch Lion El'Johnson like you could have the Shadows of the Lion(a little corny) something with the Lions name in it. Names are easy once you figure out your theme and how your fluff.
Erik Moraki's Great Company 16/4/7
Borgut "SBD" GreatStrider's Ogres 6/1/2
An'Gorath's World Eaters 3/0/2
Sigurd GreatFang's Wulfen Host 7/4/3
I love the idea of a knightly order becomming a space marine chapter..
I'd make them slightly dark and suspect, however, as well as bold and brave and heroic (think the Templars and their massive wealth monopolization, or the Teutonic Knights and their brutality and mass enslavement.) This is 40k, not the Arthurian legend.
Just so long as you're aware that not every firstborn son will survive the implanting process and training...
And also, the "Unforgiven" label was only ever applied to Second Founding chapters, as they were originally part of the DA legion that witnessed Luthor's betrayal. It was damage limitation and no more that they know about them, so unless you want to overwrite the existing fluff and say they were an as yet unknown Second Founding chapter then the Unforgiven label needs to be ditched.
