Hey guys, I've just been thinking about starting up Chaos again after my Kroot, and I think that this time I wanna go with a daemon heavy, or at least moderatly daemon heavy list. Thing is, i'm not sure which legion other then the Word Bearers (no big benefits, I want a competitive list) would make extensive use of Daemons. I'm okay with making a DIY chapter, just wondering who's rules would make the most sense fluff-wise. Thanks guys.

The god-specific legions have god-specific demons, and other than that you're looking at Black Legion, which has a bit of everything.

All of the other undivided legions have no daemons or particular daemon rules. Cult legions limit you to one type of daemon. So black legion rules. But you can create your own splinter chapter or whatever ![]() Mechanised Daemon bombs are particularly effective. Good luck moosey, nice to see you back in the folds of Chaos.

A daemon bomb is where you summon a dirtload of daemons in one spot all at once behind enemy lines (I'm not familiar with the Chaos Codex, so this is done by means unknown to me) and mechanised presumably means you're doing it from a tank of some sort.

As Ze Poodle said really. Rhino 12" pop smoke/dismount. Rhino some more, or run some more and you should be pretty close to the enemy. Then all your daemons start arriving, and real close to them. Furies and mounted daemonettes are really good for this. Be carefull not to get too tied down with daemons though, otherwise it becomes a 'gimmick' and not a 'tactic'. By gimmick, i mean something which either totally slaughters the enemy or gets butchered itself. Any sound battle strategy should have contingency plans and more than one way of winning.

I've always thought of mechanised dæmon bombs as being used with ACs on bikes... but that's going off-topic slightly. Basically, it's a high-speed dash to the enemy lines and then summon dæmons right in front of them.

![]() Bikes are great because wham bang, they're straight in the enemy's face with a tasy invulnerable. The mechanised aspect of rhinos is good because it can really damage certaing armies, like assault based ones - blood angels and stuffs. It's weird.. bikes are kind of both a vehicle, and not a vehicle at the same time... Both are great for daemon bombs though.

Hey, thanks for the advice guys! Yea, I kinda realized that Black Legion was the only real way to go after I posted this. I'll prolly just make a splinter chapter like Karmoon said and load them up with Daemons. Oh, any advice as to which daemons would be effective either in large numbers or with a different type? i.e are furies good in large amounts, or is there another type of daemon that they work particularly well with? I'm aware this is moving away from fluff, so, one more question. What reason might this chapter have for utilizing daemons more then the average CSM chapter? Perhaps they were isolated in the EoT (don't know why yet) for much longer then normal for a CSM, and instead of having hte Obliterator effect, so much exposure to the daemonic energies gave them a kind of 'affinity' for daemons? I dunno. I'm just throwin' stuff out there.
