Well the fluff is for my new death guard army obviously...
The army includes a single lascannon predator and the rest is power armored plague marines infiltrating and a un-statured daemon prince in power Armour with chosen retinue and a squad of chosen infiltrating one of the chosen squads will have flight as well for a possible first turn charge!!!
The fluff is that they are a fallen space marine chapter that used a lot of infiltration and scouting tactics....
Now i was wondering if this is plausible fluff for my army? saying they are only recently turned and as such are staying with their standard space marine tactics....
Ok feel free to post your thoughts and any problems you see!!!
thank you in advance!!!
very plausible, that's the way they performed in the past so they'll stick to that!
you could vary the amount of how nurgled the troopers are, say for instance the chapter master was the first to embrace nurgle, he will look the most deceased and bloated, his armour could look bleached his weapons rusted...
marines who recently left the scouts would perhaps only have a few boils and slightly green skin with armour mostly intact.
Why did they turn to Nurgle?
What is it specifically about nurgle that you find appealing?
Nurgle is really deep in my opinion. Definitely one of the more interesting Chaos Gods.
You need need to decide what it is you personally find so appealing about nurgle in order to decide why your marines chose his path.
I would reccomend reading about Taoism/Daosim, Chuang su, Lao tsu.
Very very interesting.
but it is good to think about the W's: why, what, where, when...
i usually just gallop towards the visual aspects of, well, everything...
this had no bearing on Nurgle.
The Daoism I'm talking about is all about embracing nature, accepting change and the new state of thing, the beauty of evolution AND devolution in symphony.
The guy that originally said: "Am I a man that dreams I am a butterfly? Or a Butterfly who dreams that I am a man."
The Chinese philosophy is VERY relevant, because it has character within the pages who rejoice that they become mutated and that their organs float to their heads etc. That their backsides become chariot wheel etc.
It's because they follow the Way and whatever it brings - even death they rejoice in.
A unified Tzeentch and Nurgle themed Daoist theme would be the best.
The problem is they hate each other badly.
ze_poodle: Real simple law of biology: if you blow a big hole in someone, they will cease to function.
Karmoon: I like this law. They should teach this at school.
I totally agree.
If you want to understand Daoism read the Tao Te Ching/Dao De Jing. It's a bit heavy going, but physically it's very short, and you can't get more authentic as a Daoist religious work.
