Verhec the new Chapter master of the soul drinkers was waiting for the Knights of the hammer and his 3rd company captain to report to him, Verhec’s psychic abilities were at the maximum that is possible for human kind, his telekinesis and ability to reach out to others through his mind enabled him to speak in others mind, move objects with his mind, unleash lighting form his hands and absorb knowledge with ease.
Verhec had been helping Grandmaster Ariel hunt down Aragnos and the two chapters exchanged Intel and resources, Verhec had pulled out of the crusade against Aragnos because the planets his chapter fleet was orbiting were under attack from dark elder raiders.
But it seems that Aragnos has began hunting Verhec.
Grandmaster Ariel and his squad slammed open the ornate palace doors of Kantarous
The remainder of Skaal’s squad also followed.
“Marcus I suggest you let me do the talking, I do not want you anger towards Aragnos to make things heated between our knights and the soul drinkers”
“Your request is noted Grandmaster and you know I will obey “replied Marcus
The GreyKnights followed the directions given to them by the soul drinkers posted on guard. They reached the Governor of Kantarous throne room, yet the governor had perished in the beginning days of the chaos cults assault.
The ornate doors of the throne room opened almost by them self but Ariel and his squad were used to such things as they knew that Verhec was strong in telekinesis but also that Ariel had a mastery similar to Verhecs in telekinetic powers.
“So Ariel you return, it is hard for me to see the minds of your knights because of your hexagramic and pentagramic wards but as time has passed I have come to enjoy the company of your knights and yourself, you are like rubric cubes, difficult but yet rewarding”
“Im sorry Verhec Im not in the mood for your riddles or mind games, I have lost many knights both from squad Gabriel and squad Uriel and Marcus is wounded”
“I am sorry old friend, your knights may use the chapel and armoury as they see fit, also they may use their lodgings whenever they wish as Im sure you and your men need some rest and to see the soul drinkers apothecaries” replied Verhec
“Your hospitality is grateful and generous and is well needed, although I have some bad news as you can probably tell”
“Yes you and your men’s minds are difficult but yet you all have the thought of sorrow and hatred in your minds, may I ask why?”
Ariel thought for a moment, Skaal had been one of the soul drinkers that Verhec was considering entering into the 1st company and to become apprenticed into the librarian’s training. Ariel knew that this act would initiate the whole chapter of soul drinkers into the hunt for Aragnos.
“Son of Dorn and chapter master of the soul drinkers Skaal of the 3rd company has fallen in battle, he gave his life so that his chapter and ours could go on to stop this Aragnos, he had but one wish the destruction of Aragnos”
Lightning arced of Verhecs Ornate custom power armour,
“ The nearby planet Scion is sending its army to protect and quell this rebellion, it will arrive in three days, after that the whole soul drinker chapter will be pursuing this Aragnos”
The soul drinkers first company known as the reapers positioned several bodyguards for their new chapter master, at the news of their chapter’s involvement of the hunt of Aragnos they gave a shout “Give us strength in this time of need Dorn”
Chaos is a decison not a life
Uh...I don't think his abilities are at the maximum that is possible for human kind. Otherwise he would destroying worlds and going mad. Or be the Emperor.
I terms of writing style this is kind of a lazy/redundant way to desacribe a character. Just describing what he can do would be fine.
Ok. I'm just saying there are clearer ways of describing his powers.
